ABSTRACT
This study aimed to find out the effects of: (1) family backgrounds on the
entrepreneurial readiness, (2) practicum activities at the school production unit on the
entrepreneurial readiness, (3) industrial internship achievements on the entrepreneurial
readiness, and (4) family backgrounds, practicum activities at the school production unit, and
industrial internship achievements.
The research subjects were Grade XII students with a total of 191 students from the
expertise programs of Software Engineering, Multimedia, Accounting, Office Administration,
and marketing. The data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The
validity was assessed by the product moment analysis technique and the reliability by the
Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Test of analysis assumptions included tests of multicollinearity,
heteroscedasticity, and normality. The hypotheses were tested by multiple regression analysis,
the t-test (partial) and the F-test (simultaneous).
The results of the study were as follows. (1) There was a significant positive effect of
the family backgrounds on the entrepreneurial readiness. This was indicated by t observed = 9.639
> t table = 1.973 at a significance level of 5 %. (2) There was a significant positive effect of the
practicum activities at the school production unit on the entrepreneurial readiness. This was
indicated by t observed = 1.608 > t table = 1.973 at a significance level of 5%. (3) There was no
significant effect of the industrial internship achievement on the entrepreneurial readiness. This
was indicated by t observe = 0.954 < t table = 1.913 at a significance level of 5%. (4) There was a
significant positive effect of the family backgrounds, practicum activities at the school
production unit, and industrial internship achievements as an aggregate on the entrepreneurial
readiness. This was indicated by F observed = 83.294 at a significance level of 5%.
