Staphylococcus aureus are examples of Gram-positive bacteria that can cause infection. Cerbera
odollam included in the types of plants that could potentially hamper partumbuhan bacteria that
cause infectious diseases. Treatment of infection with antibiotics frequent bacterial resistance.
These resistant bacteria are pathogenic bacteria capable of forming biofilms on living things, and
is capable of causing illness by rejecting the immune system works. This study was conducted to
determine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract and antibiofilm Cerbera odollam against
Staphylococcus aureus as one of the causes of infectious diseases. The ethanol extract obtained
by maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent suspended with 2% DMSO and tested against
Staphylococcus aureus by agar diffusion method as a test of antibacterial activity test antibiofilm
while using microdilution. Determination of classes of compounds active in plant extracts have
antibacterial activity was determined using the contact bioautografi. From research carried out
showed that the ethanol extract Cerbera odollam leave Growth Inhibitory Power (DHP) at a
concentration of 10% amounting to 35.2 mm, while for the test results antibiofilm activity of
............. And from the bioautografi suspected compound has antibacterial activity of ethanol
extract was Cerbera odollam……
