Dean Paris for Sheriff

I am DEAN PARIS and I am running for Douglas County Sheriff. Throughout my 20-year
career in the United Marine Corps and Marine Corps law enforcement I have gained the knowledge
and experience to manage and lead a Sheriff’s office.
My leadership, morals, ethics and dedication have never been questioned. With these core values
I believe I am the best option for Sheriff.
• When elected I will re-energize the community policing program that will unite the citizens and
Sheriff’s office together.
• I will have our deputies involved on a local level with events. I want you to see the deputies in your
neighborhoods and not just on 395.
• I will maintain and expand all current programs.
• I will establish an open-door policy for any deputy or staff member to address issues
or concerns.
• As Sheriff I will always set the example, lead from the front and help any that may falter.
• For 20 years the Marine Corps and the people of America put their trust and confidence
in me, now I am asking for the people of Douglas County to give me the opportunity
to serve you with the same honor, dedication, commitment, leadership, integrity and
honesty.
• I have lead Marines in combat, managed large and small police departments so I
posess the experience and knowledge that is necessary as your next Sheriff.
I am asking for your endorsement on June 12th.
Please vote Dean Paris for Sheriff!

Dear Douglas County Voters,

I am a Republican candidate for County Commissioner
in District 2, the seat currently held by Steve Thaler. The
countywide vote in this primary election will decide who wins
the race. As a regular attendee at the Board of Commissioners
meetings, and as a dyed-in-the-wool conservative who wants
local government policies that line up with what the majority of
the people who live here want, I have become troubled by much
of the decision-making I have observed.
The County needs to re-assess its direction. Instead of flood control, the current Board and my opponent in
particular spend far too much of their time and congestion and further destroy the very rural atmosphere
most of us sought out when we chose this county as where we wanted to be. Thaler’s recent votes approving
development in a conservation easement and apartments out in Sunridge are just two examples.
Please allow me to thank you in advance for considering me to be the District 2 County Commissioner. I
pledge to listen and be faithful to the people, not to any special interests. We do not need more taxes or more
high-density development to keep this County the best place to live.
Warmest Regards, Member Special Endorsements:
