• SCOTLAND is the northernmost of the four constituent nations of the
United Kingdom. Together with England and Wales, it is part of the island
of Great Britain, covering a third of its total area; It also has more than
790 islands.
• People who like photography, nature and historic cities will find their
paradise in Scotland.
• Scotland transports a world into a dream.
• the currency in scotland is the sterling pound (one euro equals 0.70
sterling). However, in Scotland we can find different bills that are worth
the same but coined by the bank of Scotland. You have to be careful
because some of those bills are not valid in England and Wales.

• The official language is English but in the west and especially, in the
Hebrides it coexists with the Galáico.
• The flag of Scotland, also known as Saltire or as the Cross of Saint Andrew,
is composed of a white blade on a blue background



Places to visit in Scotland
1. - El Castle de Eilean Donan
It is one of the jewels and one of the most essential places to visit in Scotland. Located in the Highlands,
on a small island of Lake Duich, it is only accessible by a small stone bridge, something that makes it
even more scenic.

(In addition, this castle was the scene of several films,


including The Immortals or Braveheart and is an image
of the Scotch whiskey Cardhu)

2. Saint Andrews
This ancient and historic university city bathed by the North Sea is world famous for being the
birthplace of golf. its ruins surrounded by tombs of all times transports you to other times. The
best place from which to have an incredible panorama is from the top of the tower of the
church of Sant Rule, with fantastic views of the cathedral, the city and the sea.

3.Dunnottar Castle
one of the best places to visit in Scotland. This medieval castle located on the east coast leaves
you amazed by its location, on a rocky cliff above the sea, a perfect place to defend against
attacks, with the waves of the North Sea protecting it and is only accessible by a narrow steep

path.
Traditional food
Scottish food shares some dishes with English
cuisine but has many distinctive attributes as well
as its own recipes, thanks some of them to ancient
foreign influences
Fish and Chips: It is a typical dish of Edinburgh and also of the United Kingdom
in general. The dish consists of fried cod accompanied with the classic French
fries

Scotch Broth: This species of soup made from stewed lamb or beef is
undoubtedly one of the specialties of this country. It is a strong but essential to
try if you travel to Edinburgh
