Team Pokemon Go
Format, feature film / TV drama

Team pokemon go is an animated web-series and is about territory fighting. Each episode will
last for approximately 20 minutes.

Exhibition information/ Ideas/ Running Time

It will be published on the internet as a eb-series on the pokemon go official website, if the
episodes are popular enough I will show them on television.

A short tagline
My short tagline will be a spin off to ‘gotta catch them all’, I’ll replace the ‘catch’ with another
word like take, train or raise.
- ‘Gotta take them all’
- ‘Gonna train them all’
- ‘Gonna raise them all’

Overall Premise/ Synopsis

After, Candela, leader of Team Valor gains majority of the gyms in the pokemon world, a new
rare breed of pokemon has been discovered! How will this affect all the teams in the pokemon
world? Who will get the egg? Who will be the master pokemon trainer?

Team Valor, Team Mystic and Team Instinct battle it out for the majority of the gyms, but then
a new rare pokemon has been discovered in the pokemon world, how will this affect the teams
and pokemon world?!

Introduction to key characters

The first character that will be introduced will be the leader to Team Valor, as she is the main
protagonist, she will be one of the very first faces that we see on screen. The other team
leaders are introduced fairly early as they are featured on screen when they find out about the
new egg, however for now there faces are covered by black ‘mist’ so the audience don’t know
who they are yet. The voices of these characters will not be revealed either, only the colors that
symbolise the team they belong to.

Suggested Casting for each character

Candela- Jessica Calvello
The main character Candela, will be voiced by an American actress called Jessica Calvello. She is
a very well-known voice-actress who has been responsible for voice acting many other
characters such Hanji Zoe, a character from the very well-known Attack On Titan.
Blanche- Trina Nishimura--
The suggested actor that will play the role of Blanche is Trina Nishimura, she is an American
voice actor who was born on August 8, 1983; also she was born in California. The actress is
known for playing roles such as Kurisu Makise from Steins;Gate 0, Mikasa Ackerman from
Attack On Titan and Misato Gori from Tokyo Ghoul.

Spark- Bryce Papenbrook

One of the protagonists, Spark, is suggested to be voiced by Bryce Papenbrook, he is a very
popular voice actor and the majority of people who watch animations will recognise his voice.
The actor is born on February 24 1984 and was brought up in California in the United States.
Bryce Papenbrook is very known from the animated roles he has voiced, these include Eren
Jaeger from Attack On Titan, Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist, Makoto Naegi from Danganronpa
3 and he’s has many various roles within animation/cartoon.

Candelas Assistant- Ashly Burch

Another suggested actor to play a character in my adaptation will be Ashly Burch, she will be
suggested to play Candelas Assistant. Ashly is more known for having a role in Life is Strange,
playing Chloe Price and is known for voice acting Sasha Braus in the english animation.

Narrative structure/ narrative arc, e.g. linear / postmodern / beg /mid /end
Act 1 (Set-up)
Everything is normal in the pokemon world, Candela leader of team Valor just gained the
majority of the gyms making her the most powerful leader in the pokemon world. Shortly after
celebrating her massive victory, word gets out to every team leader that there is a new, rare
pokemon that has been seen. The race is on for Candela to capture this pokemon, if not she
could lose everything she’s worked so hard to get… word spreads to other pokemon trainers
and leaders that there’s a new pokemon,

Act 2 (The conflict)

Candela finds out the location of the new pokemon, but no more information was released. She
sends one of her squads out to capture the egg and she goes with them. As there searching for
the egg, team instinct have already found it, however the people from team valor are stronger
and outnumber the enemy. Of course they put up a fight but Team Valor wins the fight when
Candela decides to fight, they take the egg back with them to their main gym.
When Team Valors best went out to successfully capture the egg, Team Mystic takes over one
of Team Valors gyms whilst they are defenseless. However Candela doesn’t mind as she has the
egg and is the still the most powerful pokemon trainer.

Act 3 (The resolution)

Word spreads around village to village, gym to gym that Team Valor have the very rare
pokemon egg, other team leaders such as Blanche and Spark find out that she has the egg.
Blanche decides to launch attacks on gyms and declares conflict between both of the teams,
she turns up to Candelas main gym and declares to battle her for the egg and the gym, one on
one. Whilst both teams fight it out, Blanche becomes weaker and weaker from the fight whilst
Candela stands strong against her. Just as Candela is about to finish the fight, Spark, leader of
team Instinct, turns up to the gym and declares that he wants to fight for the egg as well,
however nobody takes him seriously.
Just as Candela is about to finish her fight with Blanche and start a new one with Spark, the egg
starts to crack behind them, revealing the pokemon. As soon as this happens the fight stops
and the pokemon goes straight to Candela, the leader and becomes her new pokemon, because
of this powerful pokemon decided that Team Valor are its new family all other teams back
down after already seeing some of the damage that it can do already.

Special FX / CGI
There will be no Special FX or CGI as this will be an animation and everything on screen will be
drawn and animated, this is to fit the style that pokemon is known for. The way this will be
created is I will use ‘full animation’ to create it, this way I can avoid my animation looking
choppy and will just look nice and smooth transitions between frames.

Information about soundtrack???

The animation will include a soundtrack that is composed of a range of contemporary artists
one of these will include song covered/made by Twenty one pilots. The soundtrack is to be
lighthearted to match the theme of the animation. To make it even more light hearted I may
get Two Door Cinema Club to do a cover of the the tune to pokemon as these guys are an indie
band and will match the theme and audience of the product.

Target Audience
My primary targeted audience are females aged 15-20, as the game pokemon go is most
popular with females between 18-29, I lowered my age range due to pokemon already being
popular with younger people. However I didn’t want my idea to be childish, more like a strategy
series, focusing on territories and storyline rather than characters.
The demographics of my audience are that they're a young age and will still be in education
and won’t be married and they probably won’t have a high income, in relation to
demographics.
Psychographics- The psychographics category my primary audience fits into is the explorers as
this is typically a younger audience and it fits in with the style of adaptation I’d like to create.
- my audience will be E as they are unemployed and they will still be a student.

The secondary audience will be 19-24 and will be male, this is because I want the interpretation
more of a male audience with pokemon go.
The demographics for my audience are that they are males who will live in the United Kingdom,
who was brought up with pokemon as a child or grew up with the games.
The Psychographics for my secondary audience would be Mainstreamers as this group the
largest compared to the others and typically fit’s a lot of different age ranges into it.
The socio-economic for my secondary audience D and E category as they are the secondary
audience are still young and are just about to start working, and if they are working then it’ll
only be semi-skilled manual work.
