• Yesterday night I were with my parents in front our house, when
we saw an accident in the street, a car crushed with a yard and
our neighbour's house, so we have to call the firemen, luckily they
came to us very fast. The neighbour's house lost everything, but
they weren't there thanks God, so they are safe.
WHEN TO USE THE PAST AND PAST PARTICIPLE?

• A man has been in a coma for two months and
suddenly he has woken up, then he sees his wife
who had been all the time next to his bed.
• Then the man says to his wife:
• "You know love, you've always been with me, in
good times and in bad times, when I've been fired
from my job, you were there with me, when I've
lost all my houses and businesses, you've also been
with me. even when I have been shot, also there
you were ... "
• The man pauses, approaches his wife and says in his
ear:
• "You know what, I think you have given me luck! " "
