Buckstrand Hunt Club is looking for new members!
We had a great year with great expectations for
the future. We are located in Osceola Co., west
of Melbourne, east of St. Cloud. Our amenities
include a large cleaning deck with stainless steel
sinks and counters, with running water, large
walk-in cooler, hoist, and lights for night work.
Many of our members process their own meat,
with cubers and grinders available. We have
a 200 yard shooting range for target shooting,
including clay pigeons, and for sighting in your
hunting weapons. We have plenty of deer, hogs,
coyote, bobcat, quail, doves, and lots of turkeys!
We have had another great year of turkey hunt-
ing. Flocks of 30 birds or more have been seen
feeding through the hunting areas with regularity!
For the fishermen out there, we have plenty of
ponds and canals brimming with fish. Among the
staples of bass, pan fish, and catfish, there are
some canals full of tilapia, gar, and a variety of oth-
er fish. Our deer feeding program has taken hold
with a noticeable improvement in the quality of the
deer harvested, both from the standpoint of body
weight and antler size. We saw a marked increase
in body weight this year up to 165 pounds! We
have very reasonable antler and age restrictions
that are creating a population of deer with mature
bucks available. We are looking for new members
who are interested in maintaining a feeder on the
lease. Buckstrand Hunt Club is a family oriented
group, with husband and wife teams on the lease.
We love to see the kids and grandkids out there,
learning the ways of the outdoors, and starting off
in life with the right values. We have at least two
planned camp parties a year for excellent family
fun, and impromptu gatherings are a regular event
at our camp. Whether beginner or expert, you will
find hunters of all skill levels on our lease. From,
help with info about local hunting conditions, rec-
ommendations & help with firearms, bows, & muz-
zle-loaders, to spinning yarns; this is the place to
