WORK EXPERIENCE
Senior Business and Operational Delivery Administrator – 05/2017-ongoing
NHS Digital – Leeds

My primary responsibilities involve acting as a personal assistant for the Director of Innovation and
Partnerships in NHS Digital. This involves managing a complex diary and arranging meetings with
senior members of the NHS as well as external organisations. I have also supported the planning and
implementation of various events ranging from 10-150 delegates, being directly responsible for sourcing
venues, planning requirements and providing support on the day.

I aided in the recruitment process for several senior members of staff within the team using our HR
guidance and filtering process. I was also involved with the teams budget, keeping track of spend,
raising purchase orders and deciding if VAT was reclaimable on the orders.

On several occasions I was entrusted to collect high level research on a variety of subjects which would
be presented to the executive management team at NHS Digital as well as creating presentations which
would be used at some of the events.

Development Support Officer – 08/2015 – 05/2017

NHS England - Leeds

Throughout my time at NHS England, my role encompassed a variety of tasks from administration to
project work. I was responsible for managing diaries for several managers, which involved planning and
managing complex meetings, often involving many delegates. I was also attached to several projects
which the team ran around a variety of clinical commissioning groups and local authorities around the
country. Within these areas I aided in timekeeping, budget management and quality assurance.

One ongoing project which was used was a care model life-cycle, this document was used to help sites
progress with their work and give them access to resources which could aid them. I regularly tidied up
the resources available within this document and added in new information as well as helping to create it
in the first place. On top of this I undertook quarterly evaluations of the sites which were used to see
how they were progressing against key parameters and raised the purchase orders for any procured
work or grant money. This finance work involved having budget oversight, checking all the paperwork
was in order, checking the suppliers and raising the order on a specialist system with the correcting
coding for the finance department.

A key achievement in this employment was a set of documents I created which focussed on digitally
innovative work in the NHS, this was done collaboratively with the local government authority, One
completed this work was published upon the internal NHS communities website to act as a resource for
NHS trusts,

Due to the nature of the work there was a mixture of reactive and planned work. This meant I was
responsible for providing project management support using a mixture of Prince2 and Agile
methodologies, solving problems and responding to unexpected demands as they arise. Whilst doing all
this I delivered against organisational objectives, achieved quality outcomes, prioritised my own
workload and worked to tight deadlines

Customer Service Officer – 09/2014 – ongoing (on an ad hoc basis)

Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust - Leeds

My primary responsibility was to take phone calls from the police, qualified nurses and members of the
public depending what service I was assigned to. This made it necessary for me to have knowledge of
various systems, from generic office packages to more specialised clinical systems and web portals. As
I became more experienced at the systems I took on the training of new individuals to the organisation,
helping to set them up on the systems and constructing a guidance package which could be used for
inductions.

In addition, I established a working group with the intention of making improvements to the previous
digital filing system for referrals. Within this group, I helped to establish a new method of working which
was eventually rolled out across the wider team, leading to a 10% increase in the number of referrals
which could be dealt with in a day, whilst also reducing the number of errors made.

My degree entailed modules such as Economic Geography, Geographies of Money and my dissertation

economic, political landscape and demographics of an area can be seen in its present and even the
future. I also took a career development module which involved me being a team leader for a small
group of volunteers in the area where I helped to construct a small-scale green and sustainable area in
