Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Max – Root and Custom

While browsing from a forum site, I saw a thread started by someone asking for a guide on
how to root Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Max. This is one of the newly released Android
smartphone from Flare S4 series of the Cherry Mobile. It comes with a good hardware
speci cation considering it’s price, a huge 4200MaH is the main features of this phone.
Now lets get back to the topic, in this guide you will learn how to root and install custom
recovery for Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Max. There are things that you need to prepare and
download of course also you need to follow certain instruction to be able to successfully
root your device.
 1 Share files offline.

Things you need

Please do not use any download accelerator to avoid damage archive. Disable your
Adblock plus extension to view the link correctly and refresh this page.

 Desktop or laptop with Windows operating system

 USB Cable
 ADB Tool and driver

 Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Max TWRP Recovery

Before you proceed:

Make a full backup of your contacts, messages, application and save it into your
SDcard. There’s appropriate tool for backup available from Playstore.
Turn o your Flare S4 Max
Boot into recovery, by pressing volume up and power button. Use volume up to
navigate and choose Recovery mode.
Do a Factory data reset including cache.

Make sure to place the les you’ve downloaded in one folder. You might want to create a
folder in your desktop to make it easier to access. The rst thing we are going to do is to
setup the ADB driver in Windows operating system.

Setting up the ADB and Fastboot in Windows

 Right click adb-setup.exe and choose “run as Adminstrator”. This is recommended
for newer Windows operating system especially Windows 10.
Press “Y” to install ADB and Fastboot then hit enter.
Press “Y” to install ADB system-wide.
Press “Y” to install Drivers.
Wait for the driver installation to nish.
You’re done.

Next you’re going to activate Developer mode.

OEM Unlock and Developer Option

Go to Settings > About Phone.
Find the Build number and tap several times to unlock Developer option.
Press back and open Developer option.
Activate OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
You’re done.

Root

 Extract the TWRP Recovery.

 Copy the recovery.img and paste it inside adb folder, it is located in C:\adb
 Hold shift then right click somewhere inside the adb folder and “choose open window
command here”. Do not right click any item, you won’t be able to see the option.
 Now turn o your Android phone.
 Boot into Fastboot mode by pressing and holding Volume up and Power button. When
the options appeared, use the volume up to choose Fastboot mode.
 Plug your device into the computer and go back to the command window.
 Type fastboot oem unlock then press enter.
 Check your phone and choose “Yes” by pressing volume down.
 Now type fastboot ash recovery recovery.img in the command window.
 When the process is nished, type fastboot reboot.

Now you have TWRP installed, let’s start rooting your Android device.

itself and it turn on and o simultaneously. Please do the step below.

Remove the battery, sim card and memory (if you have one).
Place the battery again but do not include the memory and sim card.
Press and hold volume up and power button until you see the options, press volume
up and choose recovery mode by pressing volume down.
Tap Wipe and Format Data then Swipe.
Press the back button until you got into main menu.
Tap Backup then swipe.
Go back to the main menu again.
Now tap Restore and nd the Backup le located into the phone storage.
Reboot your phone.

How to Root Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Max
 Download SuperSu and place it into the root folder of your SDcard.
 Turn o your Android phone.
 Now boot into recovery mode. You already know how to do it.
 In the TWRP recovery, tap Install and select UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-
20160630161323.zip.
 Reboot your device.

After a long series of steps, I hope you have successfully rooted and installed a custom
recovery for your device. Let me know if you encountered any problem by dropping a

needs an Administrative privelege but don’t forget to make a full backup of your current

Paano po mag wipe ng data and cache sa adb? wala po kasing option sa default

sir john michael may link po ba kyo ng stock rom ni cm are s4 max? nag ush
kasi ako ng ver. 4 succesful kaso pag boot ko na icker at shrink yung screen.

sir bakit stock lang sya sa ashing ng recovery. nothing happen na after unlock
oem.

natry mo na boss iboot sa fastboot mode? if so, type mo sa cmd fastboot devices
then pag nakita mo dun yung atleast isang device ayun ung cp mo.. pag waiting
or loading sya it means di madetect unit mo.

Sir nung inopen ko ung recovery mode bkt walang options na clear data etc.
Naka lagay lang na “no comand”

Pakipindot po ng sabay yung volume up and down. Pag ayaw pindutin mo lang
po yung volume up 2 times then power button.

 hi guys,dun na ako sa part na “boot into twrp by itself” pag pinindut ko na yung
volume down habang nakatutok yung arrow sa recovery mode bigla na lang siyang
babalik sa screen ng nagboboot na cherry mobile tapos mamamatay uli and so
on………help po…………..or is there a way na pwedeng i format data gamit ang
computer
