The presentation will give a brief overview of the concept of Organization Project Management (OPM) and how this
approach can help achieve organizational benefits and objectives. We discuss why PMI decided the time was right for
a standard on OPM and will briefly cover the time line from the development of the Implementing Organizational
Project Management: A Practice Guide to the beginnings of the Standard for Organizational Project Manage-
ment. We will give a high level overview on implementing OPM and the development of organization-specific meth-
odologies.
