To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Rheal Shirley who has been a temporary teacher this year
at Upland High School and taught French I and French II. I have been her immediate supervisor. Rheal
is a young, enthusiastic teacher who has worked extremely hard this year to learn the curriculum and to
build her teaching strategies.

Rheal has done an excellent job as a new teacher this year and I have been impressed with her ability
and willingness to become part of the team here at UHS. She has been an active member of the World
Languages Department and does not hesitate to ask questions to learn the processes here at the school.

In the classroom Rheal is student centered. She has a positive classroom environment and works well to
promote the success of all students in her classes. Rheal developed lessons that engaged students
throughout the entire class period. She increasingly used French in the classroom over the course of the
year as her student were able to understand.

Rheal is open to guidance and suggestions with her teaching. She is eager to learn new strategies and
technics. After each time I met with Rheal and gave her feedback, I would return to her classroom and
saw how she applied her new learning. Students have progressed successfully through the curriculum
and seem to really enjoy her class.

Rheal is eager to learn and grow and will be a welcomed member of any staff. I give her my highest
