(1) Problem in displaying UVM info using Printout Tool
Item Description
Contents Configuration information containing UVM information displayed using Printout Tool displays
improperly. The problem might occur when the configuration information containing UVM
information is displayed using Printout Tool.

Changed SVP
(2) Improvement of SVP messages
Item Description
Contents In a maintenance operation, a wrong package may be replaced/installed/uninstalled by mistake
The SVP messages have been modified to prevent the problem.

(3) [FCv2] SSB: 13B7, 8211 when FCv2 relationship is deleted
Item Description
Contents Deleting a relationship during a copy operation is in progress, SSB: 13B7, 8211 may occur. The
problem might occur with all conditions met.
1. Perform a copy operation
2. Delete a relationship while a copy operation is in progress

(4) Printout Tool outputs DKC emulation information for OPEN package
Item Description
Contents When outputting CVS file configuration information of OPEN package using Printout Tool,
DKC emulation, should display only for mainframe packages. The problem might occur when
outputting the configuration information of an OPEN package using RAID450 Printout Tool.

(5) Performance Degraded due to HDD Response Delay
Item Description
Contents DKC response degraded due to HDD response delay. Micro-program modified to fix the
problem. HDD, whose response is delayed chronically, will block if mode 144 is set to ON.
Category HDD
Changed DKCMAIN
(6) Improper OX_ID response of HDD
Item Description
Contents During a normal operation, correction copy occurred in 49 parity groups because the paired DKP
was blocked. The problem might occur if Improper OX_ID response of HDD

(7) Created FCv2 relationship using F3-15 command received VOL
Item Description
Contents An FCv2 relationship whose target volume received a DIAGNOSTIC CONTROL (0xF3)
command can establish with a TSO command. (The command rejects in the IBM specifications.)
The problem might occur with all conditions met.
1. Use the volume to which the suborder 0x15 of the DIAGNOSTIC CONTROL (0xF3)
command issued as an FCv2 target volume.
2. Create an FCv2 relationship with the TSO (FCESTABL) command.

(8) SSB=23C9 when Relationship Expansion (Disable->Enable) is performed
Item Description
Contents In case of INITIALIZE or Relationship Expansion (Disable-> Enable)/(Enable->Disable) being
in progress, when varying the FCv2 volumes online, the host considered the FCv2 as an
unsupported function so that the command for establishing the FCv2 relations for the volumes
was rejected with SSB=23C9 reported. This problem occurs when varying the FCv2 volumes
online under the following conditions.
1. FCv2 program products are available.
2. INITIALIZE or Relationship Expansion (Disable->Enable)/ (Enable->Disable) is in progress.
Category Flash Copy Version 2
Changed DKCMAIN
(9) Performance Degradation on Flash Copy Version2 Volume
Item Description
Contents The performance of sequential read using Flash Copy Version2 source and target volumes may be
degraded (About two to three times, depends on the condition). This problem occurs when either
A or B is met.
A. Sequential read performed using RDTRK command to Flash Copy Version2 source volume
(Example: DUMP job is performed to the source volume) RAID450:21-14-10-00/00 and higher
B. - A sequential read is performed using a RDTRK command to the copied area in the Flash
Copy Version2 target volume (Example: DUMP job is performed to the source volume)
- RAID450:21-14-10-00/00 and higher

(10) Performance Degraded after Micro Upgrade
Item Description
Contents After upgrading the micro-program from version 21-07-29 to 21-11-02, the transaction of
OpenVMS server delayed intermittently When a lock timeout occurs due to the configuration
change after PS-ON, replacement, or micro-program exchange.

(11) MIH due to Device Busy
Item Description
Contents Device Busy occurred with device not reserved. As a result, MIH occurred.
The problem might occur with all conditions met.
1. FICON and unstable cable connection status between the host and the switch (not in link down
status), the DKC starts up the TIN processing (path status check) but there is no response from
the host or a timeout detected later at the DKC.
3. The host receives LBY during timeout processing.

(12) MIH when Establishing FCv2 Relations
Item Description
Contents When establishing FCv2 relations more than the maximum value or establishing FCv2 relations
whose differential tables were insufficient, MIH occurred. In addition, SSB might report
frequently and the response of the general operation on the SVP/Storage Navigator might
degrade/fail. This problem occurs under either of the following conditions.
1. Establish FCv2 relations more than 16,384 (without relation extension) or 286,719 (with
relation extension),
2. Establish FCv2 relations that use differential tables more than 2,048 (number of CUs is 4 or
smaller) or 4,096 (number of CUs is 5 or larger). However, the number of differential tables
should be the total of those shared and used by SI, SIZ, Hi-Copy, and Cruise Control.

(13) ESTABLISH/WITHDRAW Command Rejected
Item Description
Contents When issuing the ESTABLISH or WITHDRAW command to create or remove 16,000 or more
FCv2 relations at a time, the command was rejected with SSB=9683, 9617, 9658 reported. This
problem occurs with all conditions met.
1. Issuing the ESTABLISH or WITHDRAW command (with volume specified, and without EXT
and DDSW specified) to create or remove 16,000 or more relations at a time,
2. All of the control tables (16,000) used.

(14) Host I/O error (SSB=ba3d) in the case of SF overflow in True Copy OPEN Async
Item Description
Contents A server crash occurred due to an I/O error at the time of Side File overflow. Too many AIX
ERRPT logs of SC_DISC_ERR4 generated.
In the True Copy OPEN Async pair, SSB=ba3d (Side File overflow control ended abnormally)
was generated. With all the following conditions met, this problem may occur.
A. DKCMAIN version 21-12-01 and later
B. True Copy OPEN Async pair volumes
C. Offloading Timer=0(Sec) is set
(This setting suspends the pair immediately without controlling the host I/O inflow)
D. Side File capacity= Side File threshold (This condition occurs continuously) The micro-
program modified so that the server will not crash even if the Side file threshold is exceeded.

(15) HDD Installation Failure due to HDD Blockade
Item Description
Contents When installing HDD to add multiple parity groups, all the HDD in HDU R17 and some in R16
were blocked, and the installation failed. Even though having taken all kinds of recovery actions,
the problem remained unrecoverable. MSG SVP0734W reported. The micro-program modified to
collect more information about the problem.
