material is 1107 m . Find the resistance of the wire.

2. A copper wire has a length 5 m and a resistance of 1.7 . If resistivity of copper is

3. A metal wire has a resistance of 5.2 and lenth of 4m. If the area of cross section is
5 1018 m 2 , find the resistivity ?

4. A coil of wire a resistance of 24 . If it is connected to a battery producing a potential


difference of 6 v, find the current through the coil ?

5. Using all the three resisters of different values R1 , R2 and R3 , find the number of
different equivalent resistances possible ?

6. Two resistance coils when connected in parallel gave an equivalent resistance of 2.4
and when the same two are connected in series gave an equivalent resistance of 10 .
Find the individual resistances of the two coils ?

7. The electric bulbs each having a resistance of 400 are connected in series. Find the

25. In the determination of the internal resistance of a cell using a potentiometer, a balance
length of 660 cm is obtained when the cell connected in the secondary circuit. When the
cell is shunterd by a resistance of 10  , the balance length decreased to 550 cm. Find the
internal resistance of the cell ?

26. An electric heater produces a certain amount of heat ‘H’ in a time of t1 and a second
electric heater working on the same mains produces the same amount of heat in a time of
t 2 . If the two heaters are connected in i) series ii) parallel to the same mains, find the
time taken to produce the same heat.
