AFFIDAVIT OF DESISTANCE

WE, CARLOS FLORES, EDUARDO TANEZA and DENNIS CADOTDOT,

Filipinos, of legal ages, widower, single and married respectively
& residents of Brgy. San Jose Digos City, after having been duly
sworn to in accordance with law do hereby depose and state
that:

1. Sometime on the third week of May, 2018, we were

approached by Emelita Campo and Wilson Doong asking
for our help;

2. They were going house to house in the neighborhood to

have us sign a Petition which seeks to remove Merly
Reginio as Barangay Midwife;

3. They said that their baby was killed by our Barangay

midwife after immunization;

4. Emelita was crying infront of us and begged us repeatedly

to sign the Petition to have our Barangay midwife
removed;

5. The three of us were moved by her desperation and out

of pity we simply signed the Petition without really knowing
what the consequences are;

6. At that time, we believed all the stories of Emelita and

Wilson Doong about Merly, that she was cruel and
negligent;

7. However, a few days later we found out that her stories

were greatly exaggerated and her accusations were
unfounded;

8. We found out that the baby actually fell from the duyan
and she only gave birth at home on our own;
 9. We are executing this affidavit to express the truth that at
the time we affixed our signature on that Petition, we
were deceived into doing so. We do not wish to remove
or even sanction our Barangay Midwife because the
accusations against her turned out to be false;

10. We wish to take NO PART in any legal debacle that

Emelita Campo or Wilson Doong are in;

Affiants further sayeth naught.
