EXPECTED ANSWER:  I understood that the pilot of ANAC 123 informed Brasilia tower that
they rejected take off due to poor brake action.
The pilot understood and told ANAC 123 to inform when ready to leave the runway.

EXAMINER: If faced with a similar situation what actions would you take ?

EXPECTED ANSWER:  If I had this situation first I would inform the atc, then I would follow the
appropriate checklist and finally return to the gate.

WILL BE PROVIDED UPON ARRIVAL.

EXPECTED ANSWER: I understood that the pilot of ANAC 123 contacted Brasilia centre and
declared an emergency due to to a cargo fire indication and smoke coming from the floor,
they requested priority to land and firefighters upon arrival.
The controller told ANAC 123 they would be vectored to land at Brasilia airport and
firefighters would be provided upon arrival.

EXAMINER: Have you had a fire onboard before?

EXPECTED ANSWER: No fortunately I have never had this situation before.

ATC: ANAC 123 , ROGER, YOU CAN'T TO RETURN TO THE GATE.  MAINTAIN POSITION AND WE
WILL INFORM THE FIREFIGHTERS.

EXAMINER: Now tell me in your own words everything the pilot and controller said.
EXPECTED ANSWER: I understood that ANAC 123 contacted Miami ground and requested to
return to the gate as the chief purser reported a burning smell coming from the over.
The controller told ANAC 123 they could not return to the gate and told them to maintain
position and they would inform firefighters.

EXAMINER:  What are the consequences of a burning smell on-board?

EXPECTED ANSWER:  In my opnion the consequences of a burning smell on-board can be

panic, flight delays and also flight cancelations.

EXAMINER:  Now, considering the three situations you heard :

- How would you compare them and which one do you think is the most difficult to deal
with?
EXPECTED ANSWER:
In my opinion the burning smell is not so serious.
The rejected take off is worse than the burning smell as it can cause an uncomfortable
situation for passengers and the runway might be closed  temporarily.
But the worst situation is a fire indication and smoke as it is likely that there is a fire on-board
that can cause a lot of panic, the pilots must react immediately and a fire can cause a
disaster.

EXAMINER: Thank you. That is the end of Part Three.
