VERSILINE TL-91 S

SURFACE PREPARATION: Steel: Remove oil and grease etc. thoroughly with suitable detergent. Remove salts and
other contaminants by high pressure fresh water cleaning. Dry abrasive blasting to Sa 3
(ISO 8501-1) corresponding to SSPC-SP 5/NACE No.1 with a dense, angular surface profile
of Rz 75-100 micron/3-4 mils corresponding to ISO Comparator Medium (G), Keane-Tator
Comparator 3.0 to 4.5 G/S or Rugotest No. 3 BN 10a-b. After blasting, clean the surface
carefully from abrasives and dust.

All pitting, scratches, gouges, and other defects may be repaired either by welding or by filling
with VERSILINE CP-83 MP that are compatible with TL-91 S and suitable for the intended
service conditions.

Concrete: According to specification

APPLICATION CONDITIONS: Apply only on a dry and clean surface with a temperature above the dew point to avoid
condensation. 24 hours prior to application store the components (base and curing agent)
at 25°C-30°C/77°F-85°F to facilitate handling and spraying. Use only where application and
curing can proceed at temperatures above: 1.7°C/35°F*. Maximum relative humidity: 80%. In
confined spaces provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

PRECEDING COAT: For Steel: VERSILINE TL-91 S or VERSILINE CP-83 MP

For Concrete: VERSILINE PRIMER 75 S

SUBSEQUENT COAT: None or VERSILINE TL-91 S

REMARKS:

Heated plural component spray: For application using heated plural component airless spray equipment, the base (423V5)
should be heated to 120°F (49°C) and curing agent (927VC) should be heated to 80°F (27°C).
Heating to higher temperature will have a negative effect on the overall application and
performance properties.

Film thicknesses: May be specified in other film thicknesses than indicated depending on purpose and area of
use. This will alter spreading rate and may influence drying time and overcoating interval.
Normal range dry film thickness is 500-750 micron / 20-30 mils.

*At lower temperatures close to 1.7°C/35°F, it is important not to exceed a dry film thickness
of 500 micron/20 mils.

Note: VERSILINE TL-91 S is for professional use only.
