STUDENT DRESS CODE

At Cambridge Christian School, we believe that student appearance and attire must reflect that they study in a Christian learning
environment. In keeping with biblical teaching, their appearance should be characterized by modesty and cleanliness.

Cambridge Christian School does not require a student uniform for our students; rather, we support parental responsibility in the
area of student dress and appearance. The school provides guidelines for student dress appearance and the parents shall ensure
that their students are dressed appropriately.

1. Personal appearance
a) Students should exercise proper cleanliness habits.
b) Students may not wear body piercing accessories, with the exception of girls who may wear earrings.
c) Girls may wear a modest amount of makeup.
d) Hair dyes are permitted provided that natural colour is used.

2. Classroom dress
a) Student clothes should be neat, clean and in good repair. Pajama clothing may not be worn.
b) Student clothes may not have slogans or advertisements that are not in keeping with the school’s mission and
vision.
c) Student clothing may not call inappropriate attention to the body.
d) Appropriate attire includes:
 Tops should cover the shoulder/be a collared sleeveless shirt.
 Tops and shirts may not expose the midriff
 Shorts must be of respectable, modest length.
 Skirts and dresses are to be slightly above the knee or longer.
 Undergarments may not be visible

3. Physical Education Class


a) CCS gym uniforms are expected to be worn for PE classes
b) Students must wear non-scuffing gym shoes in the school gymnasium
c) CCS gym uniforms or team uniforms are expected to be worn for extra curricular sports activities.

4. Class Trips
a) Student dress on class trips will be decided by the teachers, in consultation with the Principal, based on the nature
of the trip.
