For example, practising yoga can reduce the occurrence of asthma attacks. Certain breathing and stretching exercises can improve lung function. Some schools have introduced yoga into their physical education programs. It helps students concentrate, relax and control stress. Three different poses are pictured. Figure 1 shows the cat pose, which helps stretch and strengthen the spine. Figure 2 shows the tree pose. This pose helps develop good balance and concentration. Figure 3 shows the child's pose. It releases tension in the shoulders and helps relieve mental fatigue. Yoga classes are available in most cities and towns, and cater for people of all ages.
