Product Description CHEMCOAT-CR is a surface-applied crystalline waterproofing
system which protects concrete against leakage/seepage. It is
based on the technology by which it reacts with unhydrated
cement particles to grow needle-like crystals deep within the
concrete mass. With passage of time these crystals grow and fill
the cavities, pores and voids in the concrete.

Application Details

Surface Preparation Concrete surfaces to be treated must be clean and free of
laitance, dirt, oil, film, paint, coating or other foreign matter.
Surfaces must also have an open capillary system to provide
suction for the applied coating.

Mixing Mix CHEMCOAT-CR with clean water to a creamy
consistency in the following proportions:
For Brush Application
5 parts powder to 2 parts water (0.65 - 0.8 kg/m2)
3 parts powder to 1 part water (1.0 kg/m2)
For Spray Application
5 parts powder to 3 parts water (0.65 - 0.8 kg/m2)

Application CHEMCOAT-CR requires a saturated surface dry (SSD)
condition. Concrete surfaces must be thoroughly saturated with
water prior to the application to ensure the growth of the
crystalline formation deep within the pores of the concrete.
Remove excess surface water before the application. If concrete
dries out before application, it must be re-wetted.

Cleaning Application and mixing tools should be cleaned with water while
material is still fresh. Hardened material can only be removed
mechanically.

Safety
_______________________________________________________________________________
Precautions 1. Accidental splashes to the skin must be washed off with
water and soap.
2. Accidental splashes to the eyes must be rinsed with
clean water. Seek medical attention without delay.
3. Skin barrier cream, safety goggles and rubber gloves are
recommended.
