Subject: Application for the Information under Right to Information Act, 2005

Sir,

Pendency of cases in courts across the country has turned out to be a "gigantic
problem" with about three crore cases waiting for redressal and the undue delay
making people to shy away from justice delivery system, Supreme Court Judge
justice SB Sinha.

In pursuance of the Right to Information Act, 2005 please provide complete

information along with the related documents/correspondence/file-noting each
of the under-mentioned aspects year wise:

1. A list of Information on the total number of cases pending in the High

court for the last five years.
2. The Information on the average time taken to dispose of different types of
cases.
3. The Information on the current strength of Judges in the High Court.
4. The Information on the required number of Judges for speedily disposal of
cases.
 5. The Information on the current strength of judicial administrative
officers.
6. The Information on the required strength in the judicial administrative
officers.

In case of queries related to some other public authority, please transfer this
RTI Petition to the respected PIO/Department under provisions of the RTI Act.
