    Excavation at the Abbeytown Project uncovered galena rich boulders in the Western Index Bed workings and secured portals with fencing. The original portal to the main Index Bed workings was closed and a new portal was created from a more stable location. Drilling south of the mine in 2018 encountered brecciated black shale with massive galena and sphalerite mineralization in one hole, representing the only historic copper assays of 1.37 meters grading 4.03% lead, 1.51% zinc, and 6.19% copper.
