Anwendungsbereich
Dieser Standard regelt die Anforderungen an die
Materialbeschaffung für Stahlbaukonstruktionen
(Kesselgerüste, Kessel- und Maschinenhäuser,
allgemeiner Stahlbau für
Abgasreinigungsanlagen, Bühnen, Treppen,
Geländer und Bandagen) im Geltungsbereich des
Vertrages und folgender Regelwerke:
EN 1993/EN 1090-2 + NA Spanien (AN/UNE-EN)
+ DB-SE-A (Spanien)
Ausführung: EXC2 ent. Anh. B EN 1090-2
(CC2, SC1 definieren EXC2)
1. Allgemeines
Während des gesamten Herstellungsprozesses
(Engineering, Materialbeschaffung, Fertigung,
Prüfung, Korrosionsschutz, Verpackung,
Transport und Montage) wird Steinmüller Babcock
Environment GmbH beim Auftragnehmer und
dessen Unterlieferanten Termin - und
Qualitätskontrollen sowie Abnahmen durchführen.
Hierzu ist den Steinmüller Babcock Environment
GmbH Beauftragten zur Durchführung der
Kontrollen jede Unterstützung seitens des
Herstellers zu gewähren. Erforderliche Hilfsmittel
(Meßgeräte, Skizzen, gültige genehmigte
Zeichnungen etc.) und Personal zur Hilfestellung
sind kostenlos beizustellen.
Der Zugang zu den Büros und den Werkstätten
des Auftragnehmers und dessen Unterlieferanten
ist sicherzustellen.
Entspr. den Vorgaben der EN 1993 1-10
können die genannten Werkstoffe für die
notwendigen Referenztemperaturen verwendet
werden.

Scope
This standard covers the requirements on material
procurement for the manufacture of structural
steelwork (boiler supporting structures, boiler and
machine houses, general steel structure for flue
gas cleaning plants, platforms, stairs, railings and
buckstays) in the scope of the contract and the
following standard regulations:
EN 1993/EN 1090-2 + NA Spain (AN/UNE-EN)
+ DB-SE-A (Spain)

1. General
During the whole manufacturing process
(engineering, material procurement, fabrication,
inspection, corrosion protection, packing,
transport and erection) Steinmüller Babcock
Environment GmbH will perform progress controls
and quality inspections as well as final
acceptances at the contractor’s and his
subsuppliers. For this purpose the manufacturer
has to grant the Steinmüller Babcock Environment
GmbH representatives any assistance for the
performance of the controls. The required
auxiliary equipment (measuring instruments,
diagrams, valid approved drawings etc.) and
personnel for assistance are to be provided free of
charge.
The access to offices and shops of the contractor
and his subsuppliers is to be ensured.
According the requirements of EN 1993 1-10,
the mentioned material grades are permitted
for the necessary reference temperatures.

Sollten, aus Gründen die der Auftragnehmer zu
vertreten hat, terminliche oder qualitative Abweich-
ungen von den Vorgaben auftreten, behält
Steinmüller Babcock Environment GmbH sich das
Recht vor, eine permanente Überwachung auf
Kosten des Auftragnehmers vor Ort durchzuführen.
2. Werkstoffe
Für alle genannten Werkstoffe ist eine CE Kenn-
zeichnung nach EN 10025:2004 zu erbringen.
2.1 Werkstoffe für Langerzeugnisse
(Walzprofile) und Flacherzeugnisse (Bleche)
Es sind grundsätzlich an geschweißten Kon-
struktionen nur folgende Stahlsorten zugelassen:
Es sind die maximalen Kupfergehalte < 0,55 %
einzuhalten und nachzuweisen. Gehalte < 0,40 %
sind anzustreben.
Für außenliegende Bereiche gilt eine Bezugs-
temperatur von -30 °C (▲ T R = -20°C im
Spanischen NA nicht gefordert), innenliegende
Bereiche 0°C. Die statische Auslegung ist nur mit
den hier aufgeführten Materialien & Gütegruppen
auszuführen:
- S235JR nach EN 10025-2:2004
Für Bleche: s ≤ 30 mm
Ausnahme: Für Fußplatten der Stützen unter
Berücksichtigung der EN 1993 1-10 auch
zugelassen für s > 30 mm.
Für Profile mit Flanschdicken s ≤ 40 mm,
unter Berücksichtigung der EN 1993 1-10,
Kapitel 3.
- S235J2+N, S235J2+AR (nur Walzprofile) nach
EN 10025-2:2004
- S275J0+N, S275J0+AR (nur Walzprofile)
S275J2+N, S275J2+AR (nur Walzprofile) nach
EN 10025-2:2004
- S355J2+N, S355J2+AR (nur Walzprofile) nach
EN 10025-2:2004
Die Werkstoffe S235JR, S235J2+N,
S235J2+AR, S275J2+N, S275J2+AR,
S355J2+N und S355J2+AR haben in jeder
Beziehung der EN 10025:2004 zu
entsprechen. Für Bleche gilt EN 10029, Kl. A
Falls mit den genannten Materialien eine statische
Auslegung innerhalb der in EN 1993-1-10
genannten Grenzdicken nicht möglich ist, können
in diesen Ausnahmefällen folgende Materialien
eingesetzt werden:
- S275N (1.0490)
- S355K2+N (1.0596)

In case of deviations from the specifications as
regards time and quality for reasons for which the
contractor is responsible Steinmüller Babcock
Environment GmbH reserves the right to carry out
permanent supervision on site at the costs of the
contractor.
2. Materials
For all described materials a CE stamp according
EN 10025:2004 is necessary.
2.1 Materials for Long Products (Rolled
Sections) and Flat Products (Plates)
Basically, only the following steel types are
permitted for welded structures:
The maximum allowed copper contents < 0,55 %
have to be assured and verified. Contents < 0,40
% should be reached.
For outside areas a reference temperature of
-30 °C (▲ T R = -20°C not required by the NA
Spain) is to be applied, inside areas 0°C. The
statical calculation is only to be prepared with the
herein listed materials and grades:
- S235JR acc. to EN 10025-2:2004
For plates: s ≤ 30 mm
Exception: for base plates of the columns
taking into account EN 1993 1-10 also
permitted for a thickness of s > 30 mm.
For sections with flange thickness s ≤ 40
mm taking into account EN 1993 1-10,
chapter 3.
- S235J2+N, S235J2+AR (only rolled profiles)
acc. EN 10025-2:2004
- S275J0+N, S275J0+AR (only rolled profiles)
S275J2+N, S275J2+AR (only rolled profiles)
acc. EN 10025-2:2004
- S355J2+N, S355J2+AR (only rolled profiles)
acc. EN 10025-2:2004
The materials S235JR, S235J2+N,
S235J2+AR, S275J2+N, S275J2+AR,
S355J2+N und S355J2+AR should comply
with EN 10025:2004 in any respect. For
plates the EN 10029, cl. A, is to be applied.
If it is not possible to prepare the statical
calculation within the given limit thicknesses of
EN 1993-1-10, the following materials are
permitted for these particular cases:
- S275N (1.0490)
- S355K2+N (1.0596)

Falls verzinkte Konstruktionen erstellt werden, ist
die Güte S355J2+M ebenfalls zugelassen (nur
nach vorheriger Genehmigung der WPS durch
SBE NG -Q).
In Ausnahmen können Stähle nach ausländischen
Normen, oder andere als hier genannte Stahlgü-
ten zum Einsatz kommen. Durch entsprechende
Angaben zur chemischen Analyse, sowie den
mechanischen Eigenschaften ist der Nachweis zu
führen, daß sie den Stählen der EN 10025 ent-
sprechen. Die Konformitätsbewertung hierzu hat
durch SBE NG zu erfolgen. Vor Fertigungsstart
ist die Endkundenfreigabe abzuwarten.
- 1.4541 und 1.4571
nach EN 10088 (nur für Stahlschornsteine
nach EN 13084)
S355JR ist aufgrund der erhöhten Kohlen-
stoffgehalte nicht zulässig (C max. 0,24%).
Anmerkung:
Entsprechend dem Kundenvertrag (Annex 3) sind
alle Unterstützungen für Rohrleitungen aus
S275JR Material anzufertigen:
- Bleche S275JR+N
- Walzprofile: S275JR+N / S275JR+AR
Die Anforderungen der EN 10029, EN 10025, EN
10163 sind entsprechend den in dieser
Spezifikation genannten Umfänge auch für den
S275JR gültig und umzusetzen.

If hot dip zinc coated steel structures are to be
manufactured, S355J2+M is also permitted (only
after written approval of WPS by SBE NG -Q prior
to manufacturing).
In exceptional cases steels according to foreign
standards or other steel grades than indicated
herein are allowed to be used. In such cases all
data on the chemical analysis, as well as the
mechanical properties have to proof that these
steel comply with the steels of EN 10025. The
conformity evaluation has to be made by SBE NG .
Approval of the final client is to be obtained
prior to start of processing.
- 1.4541 and 1.4571
according to EN 10088 (only for steel
chimneys according to EN 13084 )
S355JR is not allowed due to the higher
carbon contents (C max. 0,24%).
Remark:
According to the client´s contract (Annex 3) all
supports for pipeworks are to fabricated out of
S275JR material:
- plates S275JR+N
- rolled profiles: S275JR+N / S275JR+AR
The requirements of the EN 10029, EN 10025, EN
10163 given in this specification are to be applied
equally for the S275JR.

2.1.1 Zusätzliche Anforderungen
a. Für den Werkstoff S355J2+N, S355K2+N ist
Kapitel 7.2.3 der EN 10025-2:2004 zu erfüllen
und nachzuweisen.
b. US-Prüfung der Bleche nach EN 10160.
(Die Prüfvorgabe erfolgt in den Zeichnungen
oder Materiallisten der Baugruppen.)
- Stegbleche und Lamellen für Stützen:
Flächen- / Randzonenprüfung nach Tafel 1
EN 10160 Tabelle 3 / 4 Klasse S 0 (200 mm
Raster) / E1, KSR 11 (Flachbohrung).
- Bleche der Tragkonstruktionen und
hochbeanspruchter Bühnenträger:
Flächen- / Randzonenprüfung nach Tafel 1
EN 10160, Tabelle 3 / 4 Klasse S 1 (200 mm
Raster) / E1, KSR 11 ( Flachbohrung).
- Bereiche, die durch Krafteinleitung in
Dickenrichtung auf Zug beansprucht werden,
sind wie folgt zu prüfen:
Prüfung der gesamten, in der Zeichnung
nach Maßgabe der Statik angegebenen
Fläche. Maximal zulässiger Fehler generell
nach EN 10160 Tabelle 5 Klasse E 4, KSR 5
(Flachbohrung) keine Rasterprüfung
erlaubt (Bereich: min 50 x Dicke). Diese
Prüfung ist allgemein erst nach Vorlage der
Zeichnungen, d.h. im Werk des Verarbeiters
möglich.
Ist infolge der konstruktiven Ausbildung der
Nachweis der „Z-Güte“ erforderlich, so ist der
Nachweis entsprechend EN 1993 1-10 zu
führen, inkl. Angabe ob eine Vorwärmung
> 100 °C eingerechnet wurde oder nicht
(Tabelle 3.2, e), der EN 1993-1-10).
c. Die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit von
warmgewalzten Stahlerzeugnissen muß
folgenden Klassen nach EN 10163
entsprechen, wobei die Dickentoleranzen der
in der EN 10025-2:2004 Pkt. 2.2 genannten
Normen berücksichtigt werden müssen.
Blech und Breitflachstahl:
Typ S235 Klasse A, Untergruppe 2
Typ S275, Typ S355 Klasse A, Untergruppe 2
Profile:
Typ S235 Klasse C, Untergruppe 1
Typ S275, Typ S355 Klasse C, Untergruppe 2

2.1.1 Additional Requirements
a. For the material S 355J2+N, S355K2+N the
requirements of chapter 7.2.3 of the EN
10025-2:2004 have to be fulfilled and proofed
by certificates.
b. UT test of the plates according to EN 10160.
(The test specification is indicated in the
workshop drawings and part lists of the
assemblies)
- web plates and chords for columns:
surface / edge zone test according to table 1
EN 10160, table 3 / 4, quality class S 0
(200mm grid) / E1, KSR 11 (flat bottom hole)
- plates of the supporting structures and highly
stressed platform girders:
surface / edge zone test according to table 1
EN 10160, table 3 / 4, quality class S 1
(200mm grid) / E1, KSR 11 (flat bottom hole)
- areas stressed by tension in thickness
direction are to be tested as follows:
Test of the compete surface indicated in
the drawing as provided the structural
analysis. Maximum allowed failure
generally acc. EN 10160 table 5 quality
class E 4 , KSR 5 (flat bottom hole), no grid
test permitted (area: min 50 x thickness).
Generally, this test can be carried out only
after the drawings are available, i.e. in the
works of the processing company.
If due to design the check of the „Z-Quality“ is
required the check has to be carried out acc. to
EN 1993 1-10, incl. if a preheating > 100 °C
has been considered for the calculation or not
(table 3.2, e), of EN 1993-1-10).
c. The surface condition of hot-rolled steel
products should meet the following classes
according to EN 10163; the thickness
tolerances of the standards indicated in EN
10025-2:2004 item 2.2 have to be taken into
account.
Plate and Universal Plate:

Type S275, S355 Class A, subgroup 2

Die notwendigen ABVs sind bauteilbezogen in
den Ausführungszeichnungen einzutragen.
Andernfalls ist aus Verwechslungsgefahr eine
100 % ABV Prüfung durchzuführen
2.2 Schweißzusätze
Der zur Anwendung kommende Schweißzusatz
muß für den entsprechenden Grundwerkstoff
geeignet und zugelassen sein (Tabelle 5 1090-2).
2.3 Mechanische Verbindungselemente
(Schrauben, Muttern, Scheiben)
Es sind nur standardisierte Verbindungselemente
nach EN 1993 bzw. EN 1090-2 (Kap. 5.6)
zulässig. Bei Verarbeitung & Korrosionsschutz
sind die Forderungen der genannten Normen zu
erfüllen. Die Fertiger für verzinkte Schrauben,
Muttern sind SBE NG vor Auslieferung
mitzuteilen. ! nur feuerverzinkt !
2.4 Geländerohre
Es sind ausschließlich Materialien, die nach EN
10210 bzw. EN 10219 gefertigt sind, zulässig.
3. Prüfbescheinigungen
Die verwendeten Stähle sind mit einer Prüf-
bescheinigung nach EN 10204 zu belegen:

Bleche und Profile sind grundsätzlich mit einem
Abnahmeprüfzeugnis 3.1 zu belegen. Die Zusatz-
prüfungen nach 2.1.1 sind mit einem Abnahme-
prüfzeugnis 3.1 zu belegen
S275J0+N, S275J0-AR, S275J2+N, S275J2+AR,

Bleche und Profile sind grundsätzlich mit einem
Abnahmeprüfzeugnis 3.1 zu belegen.

Scheiben) nur Hochfest 8.8 /10.9 (Annex 3
Kundenvertrag)
Es sind die Forderungen der EN 1993 bzw. 1090
& EN 14399 -1/-2, EN 15048 etc. zu erfüllen (HV
min. 1 Teil pro Los prüfen). EN 14399 / EN 15048
mit CE.

The necessary BBTs are to be marked
component-related in the shop drawings.
Otherwise a 100% BBT testing is to be

2.2 Welding Materials
The welding materials used should be suitable for
the corresponding base metal and approved
(table 5 EN 1090-2).
2.3 Mechanical Connecting Elements
(Bolts, Nuts, Washers)
Only standardised connecting elements acc. EN
1993 resp. EN 1090-2 (chap. 5.6) are to be used.
For processing & corrosion protection the require-
ments of the mentioned standards are to be met.
The manufacturers of zinc coated bolts, nuts
are to be noted to SBE NG before shipment.

2.4 Hand Railing
Only materials which are in accordance to EN
10210 resp. EN 10219 are permitted.
3. Test Certificates
For the steels used a test certificate according to
EN 10204: 2005-01 is to be provided as follows:
