TYPE OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATION

The type of the business of the visited company is Partnership Organization.


The company was started before 16 years. The partners of the business are Mr.
Venkata Subu & Mr. Navaraja Murugan. They started their business with the
initial investment of Rs.10,000. The business is being managed by both the
partners. Even though both the partners are maintaining the business, the current
director is Mr. Navaraja Murugan. It’s because the other person got involved more
in his work than this business.

Features:
The co-ordination of their business is good. They got a better financial
support because of their partnership. On the 16 years of development their liability
is more. They followed their deal for the period of 16 years and they will. They
shared their risk and profit in their business.

The following are the basic functions of management,

They started their business as a small VCR shop. Then they got developed
step by step and they improved their business by advertising and offering many
schemes. Now they got totally 16 outlets around the Vellore district. They are
running their business in the name of Darling Digital Electronics. And their outlets
are Sony Showroom, Next Showroom, Darling Electronics and so on.

They have their warehouse in Filter Bed Road, Vellore. They are acting as a
distributor for other company products especially Sony. They bought the products
and sold it in their own rate for profit. They are using Tally software for
maintaining their business accounts. As mentioned before, the business is mainly
directed by Mr. Navaraja Murugan. He is the current director of the business. They
got the complete control of electronic product sales in the Vellore district. No other
company got the fame for the electronic products. They got the best name for their
electronic product sales because of their heavy work.

DATA REGARDING THE BUSINESS

The products which they are selling in the showroom are,


 Sony LCD TV’s
 Digital Camera’s
 Camcorders
 Sony Playstation
 Memory Cards
 DVD’s & CD’s and so on.

They are maintaining an average of 25 pieces in each model. The


maintenance of their product volume in the showroom is depends upon the sales of
that particular product. It’ll be altered monthly and also based on the monthly
sales. They got an average sale of 600 pieces of their different type of products for
a month. Most selling product is LCD TV and Digital Cams then the next most
selling product is other Home appliances like Washing Machine, Fridge.

Regarding the customer information, they got around 10,000+ customers.


Monthly an average of 1500 customers are coming to the showroom. But among
them only 50 – 60 % of the customers are involving in the purchase of the
products. The remaining customers are just coming for a visit. And from those
remaining customers also, only few customers are coming back for purchasing
after 2 or 3 months.
