1. INTRODUCTION:-
This paper describes method of statement of ACMV installation, risk assessment, inspection
and testing plan and maintenance plan. Mechanical Ventilation System will be installed at
basement and first storey.

This procedure covers the requirement of field inspection except necessary inspection
specified in Singapore Regulation where the inspection by Government Department shall be
required. Singapore Practice will be applied.

2. ZONNING PLAN:-
The zoning area describes where FCUs and CUs are located. We will follow the main
contractor’s zoning plan.

3. ORGANIZATION CHART:-
Generally, Project Director manages all project team, control and implementation of the
whole project.

The Project Manager shall directly control project engineer and provides sub-contractor,
workers and materials for project.

The Organization Chart is attached by Appendix 1.

4. METHOD OF STATEMENT:-
4.1 Method of Statement for Refrigeration Pipes and Electrical Wire Installation Work

-Set up ladder / scaffold (<3m) at the area for work.

-Measure from the reference line and position / mark location to be drilled.

-Select the correct size / model of drill pit and drill in the particular point.

-Check the depth of drilled holes of the required anchor bolt / anchor rod.

-Install the anchor rod / bolt and tighten the nuts.

-Install the steel band with insulation.

-Install / place the refrigerant copper pipes together with electrical wire.

-To joint copper pipes use burner to brazing.

-Glue and tape the insulation gaps.

-Carry on the pressure test to ensure no leaks in copper pipe.

4.2 Method of Statement of Refrigerant Pipes Pressure Test

-Inform main contractor about the pressure test.

-Set up ladder / scaffold (<3m) at the area for work.

-Loop the copper pipes and make inlet and outlet connection for the Nitrogen gas.

-Fix pressure gauge in the outlet.

-Ensure the pressure gauge is calibrated.

-Charge the nitrogen up to 200/450 psi or as per manufacturer’s recommendation.

-Remove the cylinder connection and close the inlet terminal of the refrigerant pipes.

-Display warning sign to warn others.

4.3 Method of Statement for FCU Installation

-Do protection on the finished floor to avoid damages to other trades.

-Check the position, level and strongest of the wall.

-Do marking for the correct model of FCU by using pencil. (Ensure the wall is painted at least
one coat).

-Fix the base plate in the marked location.

-Let the painter apply second coat around the base plate area.

-Check again the base plate level before installing the FCU.

-Fix the FCU in the base plate.
