REFLECTION PAPER

This semester is quite difficult particularly in this course-CE 404 Theory of Structures. At the start

of the semester I expected that I will be challenged by this course because as I evaluate myself I am not

that well-founded on Statics and Strength of Materials. Due to this factor, I do an extra effort to recall and

study the past lessons tackled on Statics and Strength of Materials.

On the other hand, our professor, always recall the lessons on Statics and Strength of Materials

that’s why we can easily cope up with the lesson on the current course we are taking. Also he teaches us

innovative way on how to solve, innovative in the sense that it is new for us and it is easy to use and

reliable. For the quizzes, I just noticed that some problem are just needed a proper analysis to solve. Some

problems are easy to solve when you are familiar with the concept itself. The disadvantage when you don’t

study the concept and process in TOS 1. Some easy problems might be difficult and complicated to you

when you don’t evaluate the problems based on its concept.

I met all the things that I expected in this course and I am hoping to pass this course. What this

course taught me is not just about being able to solve problems but also I learned that practicing will

enhance your knowledge. Solving thoroughly will let you gain more knowledge from the lesson, practicing

all the cases of problems will give you ease to easily evaluate problems.
