2nd qtr. proficiency scales Everyone 15 mins Formal will by on 2.1 & 2.3-take out matrices and put in another
problem preferably long problem with mixed adding and
subtracting integers. 10-12 problems total for the formal.
Informal: solve a problem on the board and explain to class, or
another option is jigsaw on any concept. Tabled and come back
with ideas in next meeting.
Weekly articles Everyone 10 mins. As a group we decided we will provide at least 3 reading
comprehension questions instead of students doing th 5 w’s. Next
articles will be on mathematicians. Following articles to be done on
the following dates: Article 9: Oct.24-27, Article 10: Nov. 6-9.
As a PLC we decided to not do an article on 3 day weeks.

Next Meeting Agenda Topics Next meeting to be held on Nov. 17, Ideas for unobstrusive
proficiency scales, and bring in articles on mathematicians.

Expectations for Agendas and Minutes​:

Agendas​:
● should be given to all team members a
​ t least​ a day in advance.
● should include goals or expected outcomes.
● should include specific topics for discussion with estimated times listed.
● should include meeting norms agreed upon by team.
● should use the format shown above.

Minutes​:
● should be typed in the minutes column of the agenda.
● should be emailed to all PLC participants within 2 days.
● should be read by all PLC participants. When tracked-out staff return, they should read minutes from all missed meetings.
● Email or hand-deliver completed meeting notes to building principal.
