Folklorama is celebrating its 48th annual Festival from
August 6-19, 2017. Get ready for 14 days of amazing
hospitality, fabulous food and drink, fantastic
entertainment, and informative cultural displays.
We can’t wait for you to experience the diverse multiculturalism in our city and
province. We are honoured to show Festival attendees and visitors from far and
wide that Folklorama’s mission to celebrate diversity is an essential part of all
our lives.

The Folklorama Travel Guide is a must have leading up to and during

the festival. It’s packed with information, show times, special services, a
comprehensive map, and it’s small enough to easily take along with you on
your Folklorama experience.

Use the map found in the centre of the Travel Guide to determine which of the
41 pavilions are close to you, or venture out and schedule your pavilion visits in
another part of town and take in two or three shows in one evening!

From there, decide how you want to see the Festival – single admission at the
door, purchase a Vickar Automotive Group Fun Pack (12 tickets for the price of
9) or book a VIP tour. See all of our admission options on page 5.

Share your Folklorama experience with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and

Snapchat (look for our customized Folklorama Snapchat filter).

TRAVEL GUIDE TIPS:

• Week 1 pavilions are located on pages 16 to 33

• Week 2 pavilions are located on pages 39 to 55

• There is a special service listing on page 15 for the first week and page 37
for the second week, detailing which pavilions offer reservations, children’s
activities, late night parties and outdoor activities.

For those visiting from outside our province welcome to

For the past 48 years, Folklorama has enabled visitors to
experience the various pavilions through food, music, dance
and languages that contribute to Manitoba’s rich and vibrant
cultural mosaic. It is a remarkable opportunity to learn about

forward to attending as many pavilions as we can every year and I
know you’ll have a great time too.
