for over 40 years. He graduated as an M.D. from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South
Africa, and completed his Internship and Residency at Natalspruit Hospital in South Africa. Dr. Hedley is
recognized for his expertise in joint reconstruction and replacement and is renowned as an author,
researcher, and educator. Dr. Hedley has been named a Best Doctor in America, and is the Recipient of
the Hip Society's Otto Aufranc and John Charnley Awards. He has several patents and has been featured
in documentaries. Dr. Hedley is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the South
African Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. In his leisure time he enjoys fly-fishing,
boating, and golf.
