DESCRIPTION This 3-credit online-only course is designed for Peabody students and alumni who want to
learn how computers and technology can enhance their working methods and
practice/performance techniques, while expanding their access to a range of potential
career paths and general employability. It is primarily taught on the Apple iPad Pro platform.
TECHNICAL For assistance with Blackboard or other technical support, log in to the service desk with your
ASSISTANCE JHED ID at Peabody Institute Help Center. If you do not have a JHED ID, please email

OFFICE HOURS Weekly live office hours – Mondays 7-9 PM (Via Zoom)

GRADING Students will be graded via:
• (5%) Quizzes
• (20%) Participation in Discussions
• (35% ) Assignments/exercises
• (40%) Demo Project—Online Portfolio
GUIDELINES Students are required to attend 50%-100% of live classes but this is flexible so as to
accommodate auditions, rehearsals, performances etc. Students must however download
any missed classes, which will be recorded and archived on Blackboard.
Assignment submission deadlines are absolute. In the event that a reasonable excuse is
tendered prior to a deadline, instructor may consider extending it with/without a grade
penalty. Missing a deadline without notifying the instructor will automatically result in a
score of zero.
ACADEMIC Students enrolled at Peabody are obliged to refrain from acts that threaten the academic
INTEGRITY integrity of the Conservatory such as cheating or plagiarism. Violations are reported to
Academic Affairs for adjudication and documentation in the student academic record.
