ADVANCE WIRELESS POWER TRANSMISSION WITH MULTIPLE SOURCES

ABSTRACT

Wireless power transmission (WPT) has been attracting a wide range of subjects in
various fields and also become a highly active research area because of their potential
in providing high technology to our daily lives. Electricity energy needs to be
transported to the distribution lines through cords.

This proposed project describes an original idea to eradicate the hazardous usage of
electrical wires which involve lot of confusion in particularly organizing them.

Wireless power techniques mainly fall into two categories, non-radiative and radiative.
In near field or non-radiative techniques, power is transferred over short distances by
magnetic fields using inductive coupling between coils of wire, or by electric fields using
capacitive coupling between metal electrodes. Inductive coupling is the most widely
used wireless technology; its applications include charging handheld devices like
phones and electric toothbrushes, RFID tags, and chargers for implantable medical
devices like artificial cardiac pacemakers, or electric vehicles.

In far-field or radiative techniques, also called power beaming, power is transferred by

beams of electromagnetic radiation, like microwaves or laser beams. These techniques
can transport energy longer distances but must be aimed at the receiver.

Also, the proposed project consist of a combination nonrenewable power source; A

photovoltaic Module which is used to harvest solar energy, a Wind Turbine that converts
wind kinetic energy into electrical energy, and thermoelectric generator is a solid
state device that converts heat flux (temperature differences) directly into electrical
energy .

This proposal project as a whole gives an effective, high performance techniques which
can efficiently transmit the power to the required area varying in distances with a
renewable power source.
