Air input needs to be supplied to RFL unit minimum 6 bar, by opening the stainless steel pneumatic box
the door interlock can for example activate the truck brake system.
By pushing the green vapor button all vapor vents will open.
The indicator under the green push button will turn from red to green indicating all vapor vents are open.
By pulling the compartment switches the individual bottom valves will open and the light indicators will
change from red to green meaning the bottom valves of the compartments are open.
By pushing the red emergency button in the pneumatic control box will close down all the bottom
valves and vapor vents,the compartments with green indicators will turn red as well as the indicator of
the vapor valves.
The unit comes standard with 2 remote emergency buttons.

SAFETY AND CONTROL SYSTEM-”SCS”
INTRODUCING THE OPW CIVACON SCS SYSTEM

The SCS sealed parcel delivery system is intended to monitor liquid products transported by meter-less
Tanktrucks, and is in accordance with the Europia code of practice. It also follows the recent EU directive on
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) not to use dipsticks anymore on tanktrucks for petroleum products.
The SCS system is mounted on bulk petroleum tanktrucks and has been designed to allow for the
tanktruck to be electronically sealed, providing a " sealed parcel delivery" system after the loading has been
completed eliminating the use of dipsticks.

WHAT IS THE SCS SYSTEM DOING:

• It will prove that the compartments are sealed at the loading point and the quantities
are conform to the bill of loading.
• At the service station the compartment sealed status can be easily verified so no need
for secondary measurement
• At the service station after unloading has been completed it will indicate that the
compartments and discharge lines are empty or not.
• It is able to handle frustrated deliveries
• The SCS event information with time and date indication can be printed or
uploaded to a PC/OTC
• The SCS can as optional communicate GPS coordinates of the event information

THE SCS SYSTEM WORKING PRINCIPLE:


The display on the SCS monitor will indicate at any point of time the status of all the truck compartments
and by scrolling through the system the status of any part of the SCS system per compartment.
SEALED
After the loading has been completed and the API adaptors have been closed the status of the tanktruck
will show sealed.
UN-SEALED
In case of opening of any of the manholes and or API adaptors after the loading has been completed and
before arriving on the service station the display of the SCS monitor will turn into un-sealed status allowing
the service station owner to refuse the load.
UN-SEALED / RE-SEALED
The SCS system will also handle a frustrated delivery, it will allow the truckdriver in case one of the
compartments could not be emptied completely to change the truck status from un-sealed to re-sealed
status, this can be done only once.

With the event information and GPS coordinates one can upload and or print which part of the tanker-
compartment has been opened/closed at which time and on which location.

OVERFILL PREVENTION SYSTEMS


SECURITY DURING LOADING/UNLOADING PROCEDURES

The OPW Civacon/Liberty overfill prevention system is designed for Tank-Trucks, Tank-Truck loading stations for
top and bottom loading, storage depots and service stations.
The Liberty rack monitors output relay will, in case of a possible overfill situation, sensed
by the Liberty sensors, create a signal to a terminal automation system, control valve or
pump to shut-down the loading operation.

The Liberty failsafe and selfchecking electronic sensor


are available as 2-wire Thermistor, 2-wire
quick start Optic, and 5-wire Optic.
The Liberty on board control monitors
with diagnostic display offer 2-wire and
5-wire optic sensor compatibility with all
other brands of rack monitors.

The ROM on board system combines overfill with

OIL DISTRIBUTION
Civaflow 1 and Civaflow 2 are single and double 4" manifold systems designed specifically
for the oil distribution market. The modular design permits maximum mounting and
operational flexibility. The guard bar essembly has been designed as an integral part of
the manifold structure, pivoted from purpose designed cast bosses on the manifold body,
the guard bar is perfectly balanced allowing the use of maintenance free magnetic catches.

The guard bar interlock is also secured to the manifold body casting, giving a strong and
maintenance free locking mechanism. By design the need for additional brackets and
fastenings is eliminated.

SPECIAL DESIGNED FOR THE OIL INDUSTRY

Civaflow 2, the double manifold, has two independent interlocked manifold


galleries. This allows the handling of different products, which need
to be transported and discharged through independent
pump/metering systems. This is particularly important when
considering lubricating oils and where legislation permits,
the pumping off of motor spirit. Civaflow 2, which shares
most of its components with its single stable mate, is
lightweight, compact and offers all the same flexibility
and options.

The Civaflow modular manifold design provides flexible


mounting options through the use of collector connector
pieces. These connectors are available as pump suction
outlets, vacuum breaker boss's and specially designed
toughened sight glasses.

INTEGRATED MODULAR DESIGN

The manifolds open/closed status is clearly indicated by a mechanically


activated pop up indicator on each valve providing the driver with essential
feedback for a safer discharge. Each valve is fitted with a double acting
cylinder assembly (rather than single with spring return).
Thus with full air pressure acting with the spring the manifold valve is
guaranteed to close every time. Operational reliability is increased by using
a closed loop pneumatic system preventing debris from entering the valve.

primed the driver simply
moves the rotary switch to the required compartment, slides the interlock Pneumatic control system

continues to indicate the compartment selected, providing an important
audit trail for the driver, especially between shifts.

The manifold connector pieces are secured via a unique tri lobe segmented flange.
This flange arrangement allows the connectors to be rotated on assembly therefore
optimizing their flow and position characteristics. Civaflow's unique collector sight glass
keeps the driver informed of which product is being pumped through the manifold at
all times further reducing the potential for contamination.

The Product Transfer assembly can be specified as an option to provide a fully integrated
system. To assist the driver the spout has been positioned centrally and angled to provide
an easy connection. A sight glass on each spout further assists the driver to manage
accurate product changes. The spout is designed to optimize the returning flow rate thus
facilitating quick line changes.

Product transfers are automatically signaled from an integral switch when the interlock
bar is raised. This bar is pivoted directly from the body negating the need for additional
brackets. The spout comes with a
