Absence due to Sickness 因病不能應考
 Normally, application for half refund of examination fee or re-entry voucher will only be considered in case of withdrawal on medical
grounds. Applications supported by original sick leave certificate for the exam date issued by a registered doctor should be submitted
together with the admission form to the HKEAA no later than 2 weeks after the exams. 一般而言，考生如因病而不能應試，才可申請
退回一半考試費或延期考試代用劵。有關考生須於考試日期後兩星期內向本局提交由註冊醫生發出考試當天的病假證明書正本連
同准考證向本局申請。

Typhoon/Rainstorm Arrangements 颱風/暴雨時的措施
 Under normal circumstances, the HKEAA announcement of the postponement/cancellation of an examination will be made
approximately two hours before the commencement of the examination. 在一般情況下，考評局會在開考前約兩小時發出延期或取消
考試的宣布。
 The announcement of closure of schools due to a tropical cyclone or the issue of the Rainstorm Red or Black Warning does not necessarily
imply the postponement/cancellation of an examination scheduled to be held on that day. 即使政府宣布學校因熱帶氣旋警告或紅色/黑
色暴雨警告而須停課，並 不表示 該日考試一定延期或取消。
 Unless an announcement has been made by the HKEAA that examinations/ public examinations/ international and professional
examinations held by the HKEAA are postponed/cancelled due to bad weather conditions, candidates must assume that their examinations
will be conducted as originally scheduled. If the examination is conducted as originally scheduled but candidates have genuine difficulties
in reaching the examination centre, they should contact the Authority before the examination begins. 除非考評局正式宣布由本局舉辦的
考試/公開考試/國際及專業考試因惡劣天氣需要延期或取消，否則考生應依照原定安排應試。如考試依照原定安排進行，但考生

REGULATIONS FOR THEORY EXAMS 樂理考試規則
1. Candidates arriving more than 35 minutes after the start cannot be admitted. 考生若於開考 35 分鐘後才到達考場，恕不能參加考試。
2. Time allowed for the working of papers : Grade 1 to 3: 1½ hours; Grade 4 and 5: 2 hours; Grade 6 to 8: 3 hours
考試時間：一至三級：一小時三十分鐘；四至五級：兩小時；六至八級：三小時
3. Candidates must bring their own stationery and may use ball pens (black or blue) or pencils in writing the answers. Stationary will not be supplied at centres.
Note: Candidates are not allowed to bring word-hidden pens.考生必須自備應考文具，考生可以用原珠筆(黑色或藍色)或鉛筆答題。試場不會供應文具。
注意：考生不可攜帶隱形墨水筆。
4. After entering an examination room, you should not refer to any materials related to music. 進入試場後，你不得翻閱任何與樂理考試有關的資料。
5. Plain ruled manuscript paper (A5 size for Grade 1–5 candidates and A4 size for Grade 6–8 candidates) on which candidates may do their rough working will be
provided. This will be collected at the end of the examination. 考生將獲發五線譜作草稿用，草稿紙的大小為 A5 (1-5 級考生)及 A4 (6-8 級考生)，於完卷
時與答卷一併收回。
6. Please ensure that before the commencement of the examination, your candidate number and seat number were written clearly on the top right-hand corner of
the ruled manuscript paper and the adhesive labels stuck at the top right-hand rectangular box of your examination paper as instructed. It is important that
candidates should NOT write their names or the name of their teachers on the question paper. 請在開考前按指示，在五線譜的右上角及貼在考卷的右上角
長方形範圍內的貼紙上，寫上自己的考生編號和座位編號。考生應留意切不可在試卷寫上其本人或教師的姓名。
7. Candidates should make sure that they are given a paper for the grade they have entered. 考生收到考卷後，須確認獲派的考卷與其所報考的級別相同。
8. Candidates must work their papers without help and without reference to notes, musical calculators or books of any kind. The use of aids including “music
ruler”, their own manuscript, other paper or any representations of the piano keyboard is not allowed in the examination. It is however permissible for
candidates to draw a keyboard on the manuscript paper provided after the examination has started. Candidates may not help one another nor attempt to obtain
assistance. 考生不准在試場內使用任何輔助物品，包括筆記、音樂計算機、書本、 「音樂間尺」 、自備的五線譜、其他紙張或任何顯示鋼琴鍵盤的物品。
考生如在考試開始後，在試場供應的五線譜上畫出鍵盤則不在此限；同時，考生不得協助其他考生答題，亦不可嘗試從其他考生處得到協助。
9. Candidates may hand in their papers at any time after 40 minutes from the start and 15 minutes before end of the examination, but having done so, they must
leave the room and cannot return. Before leaving the room, candidates must hand in their examination papers and any paper on which they have made rough
notes. 考生可於開考後四十分鐘至考試完結前十五分鐘內要求交回考卷，惟考生交卷後，必須馬上離開考場，亦不可要求繼續考試。考生離開考場前，
必須把考卷和所有五線譜交回監考人員。
10. Candidates who have chosen the Chinese translation of the question papers may answer in Chinese, in English or partly in Chinese and partly in English.
Answers must be written on the English question papers. 選擇中文譯本的考生可以全中文作答、全英文作答或部分中文、部分英文作答。考生必須將全
部答案填寫在英文試卷上。
11. You must switch off all kinds of electronic devices (e.g. tablets, PDA, mobile phones, pagers, MP3 players, electronic dictionaries, databank watches, smart
watches with mobile applications installed or wireless technologies supported). You should note that mobile phone alarms sometimes still sound off even when
the phone is switched off. You should deactivate the alarm function before switching off the phone. You are not allowed to take photographs, audio record or
video record inside the examination venues or display the photos and recordings electronically or publicly. 考生必須關掉任何電子器材 [ 例如：平板電腦、
電子手帳（PDA） 、手提電話、傳呼機、MP3 機、電子字典、具文字顯示功能的手錶、裝有流動應用程式或支援無線技術的智能手錶等 ]。考生應留
意手提電話會否在關掉後仍有響鬧功能，考生必須在關掉手提電話前解除其響鬧功能。任何人士均不可於試場範圍內攝影、錄影或錄音或將有關相
片或紀錄公開展示。
12. If you are found to have any electronic device (including a mobile phone) switched on, or your mobile phone or the alarm rings during an examination, the
invigilation personnel will ask you to show the mobile phone call/SMS/MMS log, etc and note down the relevant information for further investigation by the
HKEAA/ABRSM. If you refuse to cooperate, the invigilation staff will record this in the report to the ABRSM. 在考試進行中，考生的手提電話或響鬧裝置
如發出聲響，監考員會要求有關考生出示手提電話的通話紀錄／短訊紀錄／多媒體短訊紀錄，並記下相關資料，以便進行調查。拒絕合作者，監考
員會撰寫報告，將情況告知 ABRSM。
13. If you have to go to the toilet during the examination, you must raise your hand to summon an invigilator. The invigilator will record your candidate number and
the time you leave the examination room to go to the toilet. 若你在考試中途需前往洗手間，須舉手通知監考員，並由監考人員先登記考生編號及記錄你
離開試場前往洗手間的時間。
14. You are not allowed to eat (including chewing gum), smoke or litter anywhere in the examination venues. Candidates who misbehave or act maliciously in such
a way that they upset the conduct of the examination will be treated as an irregularity which will be reported to ABRSM. 考生不可在試場範圍內進食（包括咀
嚼香口膠）、吸煙或亂拋垃圾。考生如行為不檢，或肆意擾亂考試秩序將視為違規，且會上報 ABRSM。
15. You must maintain absolute silence once you have entered an examination room. You must not disturb, speak or give signals to other candidates during an
examination. Candidates who disturb other candidates by making noise or performing other disturbing/annoying acts during an examination may be relocated to
another seat by the Centre Supervisor or an invigilator. Candidates are required to follow the instructions from the Centre Supervisor or invigilators. 當進入試
場後，考生必須保持肅靜，不得談話、打手勢或干擾他人。在考試進行中，個別考生如發出噪音或進行其他行為滋擾他人，試場主任或監考員可能
會為其安排另一座位。有關考生必須遵從試場主任或監考員的指示。
16. You must put your admission form on the desk without inserting it in any folder. Do not write anything on the admission form. Otherwise, this will be treated as
an irregularity and reported to ABRSM. 准考證應放置於桌上，切勿將其放在任何文件夾內。切勿在准考證上寫上任何資料。否則會被視為違規，並會
上報 ABRSM。
17. You are advised not to bring valuables to examination centres. Candidates and their accompanying persons should take good care of their own personal
belongings at the examination centre. Neither the Authority, nor the examining body or the examination centre is responsible for any damage/loss of the personal
belongings or personal injury of the candidates and their accompanying persons at the examination centre. 不應攜帶貴重物品前往試場。考生與其隨行人士
應小心看管個人財物，香港考試及評核局、ABRSM 和試場恕不負責任何物品之遺失或損毀，及對身體造成的傷害。
18. Parents or accompanying persons should be prepared to wait outside the school entrances. However, if allowed by the school, parents or accompanying persons
may take their young candidates to the floor where the examination centre is located before the examination and pick them up from the same spot after the
examination. Young candidates are required to contact their parents or accompanying persons by themselves if they wish to leave early. Please also note that car
parking facilities will not be available inside the schools.家長及陪同人士或需要在校園外等候。如學校許可，年幼考生的家長或陪同人士可於考試開始前
及完結後時段，到達試場所屬樓層接送年幼考生往返試場。若年幼考生決定提早離開試場，考生須自行聯絡家長或陪同人士到試場接送。並請留意
學校並無車位供各位泊車。
19. Candidates have the sole responsibility to ensure that the requirements and regulations of the examinations are complied with. ABRSM will not accept any
claims from candidates for being misinformed by others as an excuse for exemption from penalty for violation of any examination regulations.考生有責任遵照
考試規則及相關要求。考生聲稱受他人誤導，以致違反任何考試規則，並要求豁免相關處罰，均不會獲 ABRSM 接納。
20. The HKEAA enlists the schools’ assistance in providing a suitable examination environment for candidates. However, candidates will not be completely
shielded from background noise (e.g. from outside vehicles, normal school activities, school bell) during an examination. Claims of performance being affected
by normal background noise will NOT be entertained. 考評局已敦促試場學校為考生提供合適的環境應試，然而考生於考試期間難免仍會聽到一般試場
的雜音（例如：外來的汽車聲、一般學校活動或課堂鈴聲） 。考生就其考試表現受有關雜音影響的投訴將不獲處理。
21. If you need any assistance, you should raise your hand to alert the invigilators and they may come to you as soon as possible. If you find any undesirable
conditions at your seat (e.g. insufficient lighting, noise disturbance, dripping water), you should seek help from an invigilator at once. If the need is genuine
and a spare seat is available at the centre, the invigilator may arrange another seat for you. If a candidate does not seek help from an invigilator at the time the
undesirable conditions arise but asks for special consideration after the examination, the request will NOT be entertained. 如有需要，請舉手向監考人員示
意，監考人員會盡快向你提供協助。個別考生的座位情況如不理想（例如燈光不足，有噪音滋擾或有滴水情況） ，請立即向監考員求助。如有關情況
屬實而試場內仍有其他座位，監考員可能會為考生安排另一座位。倘若考生遇上以上情況，卻未即時向監考員求助，而於考試後始提出相關投訴，
個案通常不獲處理。
22. Examination centres may be air-conditioned. Candidates are advised to bring a jacket with them. Subject to the actual weather condition, individual examination
centres may decide whether or not to turn on the air-conditioners. Claims of performance being affected by unsuitable room temperature will NOT be
entertained. Candidates are also advised to bring their own watch as not all examination centres will have a clock. 考試場地可能備有空調設備，如有需要，
考生可自行攜帶外套。個別試場學校會視乎實際天氣情況而決定是否開啟空調。考生就其考試表現受試場內室温水平影響的投訴將不獲處理。另外，
試場未必備有時鐘，考生可自備手錶應試。
23. In case any invigilator finds that the candidate does not look alike the photo on the identification document, it is necessary for the invigilator to take a photo of
the candidate and the candidate’s identification document at the examination centre for subsequent verification purposes of the examination body concerned. 如
監考人員認爲身份證明文件上的照片與考生本人並不相符，須即時為考生及其身份證明文件拍照，以供有關的考試機構日後作核實之用。
24. Certificates awarded to successful candidates will be sent directly to the applicants when available. It is therefore important for the applicants to inform the
HKEAA immediately of any change of their correspondence addresses. Applicants who have not received their candidates’ certificates should contact ABRSM
Team within five months after the issue of certificates. Otherwise, the certificates will be regarded as successfully received by the applicants. Uncollected
certificates will be destroyed five months after the issue of certificates. After that, requests for uncollected certificate will be regarded as applications for
replacement of certificates and supplementary fees will be levied. 合格考生的證書將會直接寄給申請人。因此，如申請人之通訊地址有所更改，應立即通
知本局。倘申請人未能於上述時間收到其考生的證書，申請人必須於五個月內 (由發出證書日起計)與本局聯絡。否則，有關證書將視作為成功派遞
給申請人。未領取之證書將於五個月後 (由發出證書日起計)銷毀。倘於日後要求領取有關證書，將作「申請補發證書」處理，考生須另繳附加費用。
