Laguna Wake Park

This is a place where you can practice extreme sports such as Wakeboarding.

Wakeboarding is It is a water sport in which it is glides over the water on top of a


board being dragged with a rope called palonier by a boat, it can also do the same
function with a jet ski. The sport gets its name from the wake that creates the drag
boat and on which the rider evolves. This sport was created through a combination
of skiing, water skiing and snowboarding. The skid is attached to a boat, and this
usually reaches speeds of between 29 and 39 kilometers per hour (18 to 24 miles
per hour), depending on the water conditions, the weight of the skid, size of the board
and especially the preference of the person Water sking on board can also be
practiced in a variety of media, including closed course cables, winches, jet skis and
ATVs.

This is one of the sites that offers more activities and the best thing is that the
entrance costs Q.15.00 per person.

The activities that can be done in this park are the following:
climbing wall, canopy, skating, mechanical bull, euro bungee, bouldering, extreme
bike, spin board and rope park in its three levels.

1. RAFTING.
Pure adrenaline rafting. This sport consists of navigating through the rivers using a
raft. The fact is that to make it exciting, it goes mainly through the rapids; those
places where the slope causes the river to become tumultuous, white and from the
raft you can see huge mountains of white water everywhere.

Rafting in Guatemala is an adventure activity that has gained strength in recent years
in Guatemala.

It is a teamwork activity, practiced by children, young people and until it gives the
spirit.

Rafting is an extreme activity that is practiced in rivers that have a certain degree of
turbulence in their waters. It consists of descending the river on a raft technical and
certified rafting. Each participant has a special vest, rowing and helmet. With these
tools and the work together they should direct the raft to the direction indicated by
the guide.

Guatemala has rivers that flow like the Cahabón River in Alta Verapaz. It is one of
the most popular for its rapids ranging from category 3 to 5. Other rivers not less
important to rafting are, the Nahua River, The River Slaves, Coyolate River, among
others.

This activity is ideal for companies that encourage their staff to cooperate with each
other. Test strength, dexterity, speed and communication.

Flat waters: Where the surface of the river is flat, but the level of turbulence of the
same one appears in the whirlpools and the big rocks that there are in the route.

Class I: Waters where the route is quite accessible, with small waves and water
pressure is not steep, suitable for beginners in this sport practice.

Class Il: Where the waters are a bit turbulent and there are small whirlpools with
holes no more than 25 centimeters deep.
thus the class level is increased, up to Class V, which is recommended for
experienced people, and finally Class VI categorized as extremely difficult .

Our rafting expeditions are done in sections of the river of Class II, III and IV, with
support and rescue teams across the river
CAMBRAYII.
Cambray Il is a dangerous place of Guatemala. It's located in a specific place called
Santa Catarina Pinula. In the past, It was a community that had many inhabitants,
and was surrounded by many houses and schools where the people did not have
enough resources or an specific place to live found a place to build their own houses
and live a dangerous life.

Since 2008, it was declared a zone of risk, because it was located in a geographical
zone that was not safe for people to live But. unfortunately the people could not just
move on, and leave behind the money that they spent on building their houses, and
they did not have other space to live with their family, so they preferred to stay there
even if it was dangerous.
In 2015, it was a landscape of sadness and pain to many people that lived there,
becouse in that year to landslide happened there. As the main consequences that it
left in the population, were the loss of many human lives and material resources to
the point that the people did not have nothing, and they were hopeless.

Today, it is an inhabited place that only has the rests of the lives of the people, their
houses. and the signs of tragedy all over the place.
