CONGRATULATIONS GERRARD GOSENS OAM

2018 PATRON FOR INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY

Labor congratulates Gerrard Gosens OAM on being appointed 2018 Patron for
International Day of People with Disability.

As part of his new role, Mr. Gosens will be tasked with raising awareness of
disability issues, especially in advance of the International Day of People with
Disability on December 3rd.

As a Paralympian, advocate, business owner and adventurer, Mr. Gosens has

been a role model for all Australians achieving an OAM for services to the blind
and vision impaired.

Whether it be co-piloting planes across regional centres in Queensland for charity,

or summiting Mount Everest, Mr. Gosens has achieved a tremendous amount.

Labor welcomes the appointment of Mr. Gosens as Patron, and congratulates him
on this well-deserved honour.
