INTRODUCTION

1. Human trafficking , can be defined as trade or business involving illegal movement or


migration , including legally and forcible labor activities.
2. The issues of trafficking occurs as a result of high labor demand, sexual services, debt
bondagee and poverty.
3. The affected victims are usually not given any choice and cannot report their suffering
as a result of strict control by certain syndicates. Poor country and countries with a
large population. Population are often victims of China, Indonesia, Sri lanka and
others.
4. The finding show that Malaysia, especially sabah is stop over destination for women
and children being trafficked for sexual exploitation while male are used as forced
labor.

EXAMPLE CASES

1. According to statistics released by Anti Trafficking Council (MAPO), 149 sexually


explicit cases in our country from 28 february 2008 to 18 april 2010
2. 42 forced slavery, human trafficking 11 cases , baby sale 5 cases and child exit for
visa 1 cases.

TRAFFICKING VICTIMS

1. Most trafficking victims are children because they are easy to control and do not dare
to do anything to save themselves when kidnapped .
2. Women are also the main target in this activity because they are weak and have no
ability to fight the criminals who are often men. With the purpose of keeping on
unlicensed care giver, being a maid without a permit and others.

1. Corruption elements among goverment officials have caused this issue to be difficult
to address though some efforts have been made.Example immigration officials who
guard the country boarders will release the syndicates agents if they include a sum of
money.
2. The economic gap between obvious neighbors.
3. The most dominant factors is the growth of Malaysian economy which is very rapidly
contributing to the occurrence of activities.

EFFECTS

1. The affected victims will experience stress, depression, mental problems and other.
2. The worst impact is that they have no chance to study.
3. The impact on the health of the immigrants is that victims brought into Malaysia
maybe exposed to a variety of dangerous diseases such as HIV, TIBI, EBOLA and
others.

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS

1. The Malaysian goverment takes a serious look at this issue and has established the
Anti-Trafficking in persons Act (ACT 670) in 2007 to bring the abusive charge in
conducting this condemned activity and to protect trafficking victims from continuing
to be slaves.
2. The role of education is also able to overcome the problem. The school obliged to
apply the issue of trafficking in relevant topics as concerned
3. Thightening the long and uninhabited Malaysian border control which often become a
nest of syndicates carrying out illegal activities with rouge.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the collabortion of the various parties, whether directly or indirectly, is the
most effective solution that should be put into practice in addressing this problem from
continuing to spread in our country. We should not be a self centered society and hand over
the task of addressing this problems to the authorities alone without helping, so let`s together
force the fight against these crimes so that no one else will be traded. We must act in the
spirit of the true cooperation and the vigorous spirit is the ultimate catalys of our success in
solving this problem. Hopefully, with the promotion of human trafficking crime , we can
unveil vision 2020 and sit equally low, standing tall with others countries in the world.
