INTRODUCTION .
T've atuays wanted to understand what was in the Compendium, At
first I think 1 was seared to reatty read it begone this assignnent.
The problen uns is that it is not in chronological onder-Lt was never
intended to bel! :
i
T wanted £0 try and put ate the majon events in the Compendium
in chronological onder--to make it easien to understand. 1 wanted to
inckude enough information under each item so that it would make sense
to the reader and also be interesting, Consequéntty my outkine is quite
a bit Longer than most, It had enough information in it 40 that it
wie make sense to me whenever T reser back to it when'I might have
forgotten some of the details which are important to reably understanding
the significance of some events. If was for this neadon I Listed the
mukers of the major dynasties 40 T could see how each Amportant muter
Within the dynasty (itted into the chronology of ‘the dynasty as a whoke.
The butk of the information was taken grom both volumes of the
Compendium-with the additional hetp from atl the syetabus material we
neckived this year and c&tss and some pertinent material ‘rom Western
Civitization class as well. 1 onty used an outside source (Mainstream
2f Civilization) to fiLe in some of the gaps of Greek history. 1 would
have Liked to use such material even mone but time and space were against
me. As it was the “outline” is almost Like a miniature Compendium by
itself!!! Hopefully this paper wit be of use to mysees and others in
the future, 16 kt 1s, then T feet 1 accomplished my objective. The pre-§tood wortd endured gon 1656 years from Creation to
‘the Flood. There were 2 major Lines of peopte in‘ the pre-Flood wontd:
The Line of Cain'and the Line of Seth, Cain started a way of Life that
was the epitome of rebellion against God. He was. the _ anceston of
the non-white disobedient Line of people in the pre-Flood society. The
Line of Seth was Led by-the 8 preachers of righteousness: Abel, Seth,
Enos, Cainan, Mahatateek, Jared, Enoch, and Noah.’ Cain's Line wltinatety
became completely dominant and were Led in their evil way by Lamech, Jabal,
Jubal, Tubatcain, and Namah. The Latter 4 were the outstandingly
Amportant children of Lamech. They shaped their society An 40 many wrong
directions, that as a result, the Flood came in thein generation, And
‘one of them carried the way’ of Cain through the FLood! !
Thus, the human race had undergone 1654 years of hard
experience prion to the Flood. And at the end of those many centuries,
God judged the great majority of mankind as being better off dead!!!
The pre-Flood culture, society, and population were ignominiousty
siibmenged!! Onty righteous Noah and his family were found worthy of
preservation.

POST-FLOOD PERIOD: 4
‘
The 4 centuries following the Flood were some of; the most crucial- *
~4§ not the most cruciat--in a2 human history!! These centuries witnessed
a tronendous sduiggZe fon control of humanity! !
This time in earty post-Feoed history revolved around the Lives of
1 key individuats--Noah, Shem, Cush, Nimrod, Seneramis, Asshur, and Honus
Tox Cgamesh}. These ingfuential personatities carried on their wide-
aanging activities of government and conquest as the ting human hace was
just beginning to grow in numbers. Their Leadénship shaped the future
course of the sma£l but expanding world population.
2368--2018 NOAH'S LIFE AFTER THE FLOOD: Noah not; onfy Lived gon 6 centuries
prion £0 the Fhood--he Lived gor 350 years agter the Flood.
When the Flood was over, Noah was the Patriarch of the entine
human fanity with untinited responsibitity for it was his duty to
teach aft humanity God's Laws, government, and way of Life.
‘
After Leaving the Ark, Noah settted in the area of Armenia. He
spent many years educhting his chitdren § (amity but eventuatey
1¢ human amity became t60 poputous to romain in their original
area of Settloment--it was Lime for colonization of nev areas
of the wortd (EAH IT p. 26).
2268--2258 NOAH'S 1ST WORLD TOUR: Noah after 100 years in Armenia took
Shem, Wam, and Japheth on a wonred tour, a prekininany step in
establishing settlement gon various branches of the human gamity.
After journeying through the Black Sea § saiting around the
coast 0f the Mediterranean he returned to Armenia. He then began
42 send out groups of colonists £0 various pants of the wortd
EAH TI p. 28). .
2260 NOAH FOUNDS COLONY IN ITALY: While on 18 world tour Noah founded
@ colony at the mouth of the River Tiber. Up until this time
Veaty had been uninhabited since the Flood (108 years: 2368-2260).
In the List of nubers for Itaky Noah is catked Janus and was the
. Ist ruler to exercise authority in Itaey (Vok, IT p. 130 6
EAH TI p. 26). Noah exercised-authonity in the period that both
Shem and Heber appear dominant on the:workd scene elsauhere.
2260 was the year when Noah began to send’ out colonists to inhabit new
areas of the woatd. This vias onfy 4 years begone the building of the Tower
06 Babel!
The apportioning is confirmed in the Book of Genesis, (Gen. 10:25)
"And unto Heber were born 2 sons: the name of the one was Peteg; for in
days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan."
Received his name because IN HIS DAYS GOD DIVIDED UP THE EARTH'S SURFACEy
AMONG THE NATIONS!! By adding up the chronology in Genesis we find that
Pete was bor go Heber and hes wife in Armenia shantty before Noah began
4 ing colonists. (It is interesting to note that the nations were
also dispersed fron Babel in Peteg's Lifetime as well.) —
