This study examined the relationship between maternal knowledge of nutritious foods and the nutritional status of children ages 0-5 in Posyandu Teratai 2 in Banjarmasin, Indonesia. The study found that over half of mothers had good knowledge of nutrition and 70% of children had good nutritional status based on weight and height measurements. Statistical analysis found a significant association between maternal nutrition knowledge and child nutritional status, with a correlation value of 0.603. The study concludes that improving maternal knowledge of nutritious foods through health education can help promote better nutritional status in children.

Background : Toddlers are the future generation is expected to be qualified
human resources in the future that require special attention. Maternal knowledge is one of the factors that influence the nutritional status of children. Research purposes : To know Knowledge Capital Relationship About Foods With Nutritional Status In Toddlers (0-5 years) in the IHC Teratai 2 Puskesmas Lucky Raya Banjarmasin. Method :This type of research is quantitative research and using correlational study design with cross sectional design. The population in this study is the overall mothers who have children aged 0-5 years old and registered in IHC Lotus 2 Puskesmas Lucky Raya Banjarmasin. Sampling using accidental sampling, research tools using questionnaires, scales,standard tables of weight according to age, the data were analyzed with frequency distribution table and Spearman rank correlation test. Results:Knowledge mother in good enough category as many as 22 respondents (53.7%). Nutritional status based on BB / U is good nutrition as much as 29 respondents (70.7%). Spearman rank correlation test, the value of ρ value = 0.000 at significancy level of 5%. conclusion:There was a significant association between maternal knowledge about nutritious foods with nutritional status of infants (ρ = 0.000) and Spearman correlation 0.603. Expected for health workers to conduct health education to the community about nutritious food and food processing is good and right in order to become a better mother knowledge in the future.
