Scope Earth Surface Processes and Landforms is an International Journal of
Geomorphology, publishing on all aspects of Earth Surface Science. The Journal
primarily publishes original research papers that will have a sustained impact
upon geomorphological science and cognate disciplines. It also publishes Earth
Surface Exchanges which include commentaries on issues of particular
geomorphological interest, discussions of published papers, shorter journal

Scope Landscape Ecology is the flagship journal of landscape ecology which is a rapidly
developing discipline as well as a new ecological paradigm. Focusing on highly inter- and
transdisciplinary studies, Landscape Ecology draws together expertise from biological,
geophysical, and social sciences to explore the formation, dynamics and consequences
of spatial heterogeneity in natural and human-dominated landscapes. In particular the
journal publishes new and innovative papers which seek to improve our understanding
of the relationships between spatial patterns and ecological processes, and which
provide guidance and solutions to help develop and maintain sustainable landscapes.

Scope The International Journal of Remote Sensing is concerned with the science and
technology of remote sensing and the applications of remotely sensed data in all major
disciplines. Principal topics are: data collection, analysis, interpretation and display;

remotely sensed data; economic surveys and cost-benefit analyses. The journal contains
primary papers on basic science, techniques and applications, and a section of Remote

Scope Landscape and Urban Planning is concerned with conceptual, scientific, and design
approaches to land use. It emphasizes ecological understanding and a multi-disciplinary
approach to analysis, planning and design. The journal attempts to draw attention to
the interrelated nature of problems posed by nature and human use of land. Papers
dealing with ecological processes interacting within urban areas, and between these
areas and the surrounding natural systems which support them, will be considered.
Manuscripts in which specific problems such as social and cultural approaches to
landscape issues are examined are welcome.
