Notice regarding Non-NET fellowship

In continuation with the previous notice dated 20.06.2017, this is to inform that all M. Phil and Ph. D
students who did not receive any other fellowship (including the UGC Non-NET) during any period
starting from 01.10.2015 till submission of their thesis may also apply for the Non-NET fellowship which
has been announced by the Government of West Bengal. It may be mentioned here that mere
submission of such application does not imply a grant by the Government and the University may
impose its own criteria through a transparent selection process for final recommendation to the
Governement.

All applicants for the Non-NET fellowship who has already submitted application to the office of the
undersigned or are about to submit it are advised to sign the attached additional declaration and
submit it to the office of the D.P.O. at the earliest.

The last date of submission applications as well as the attached declaration to the office or DPO is
05.07.2017. All HODs are also requested to kindly inform their eligible students to read this notice in
time.
