The Accessible Design Foundation of Japan is

the organization which connects people, people
and object, people and society and people and
the world through “accessible design products
and services”.

Accessible design is the design of
environments, products and services that
are made to be used by as many people as
possible, including older persons and
persons with disabilities.
Many societies around the world are
becoming more concerned about the aging
population and people’s ability to live
independently in a safe environment that is
usable by everyone. Therefore, it is
important to have environments, products,
and services that prevent injuries and
promote ease of accessibility and usability
for people of all ability types. By doing so, it
will allow for increased quality of life.
Therefore, this pamphlet serves to provide a
little information on things that help to
make people’s lives and environments more
accessible.

support, as well as an increased in allotted
resources; that then allow for the creation
of a society that is beneficial for generations
to come.
