I. Course Syllabus in PHILIPPINE POLITICS AND GOVERNMENT

II. Course Description: This course introduces the students to the basic concepts and vital elements of politics and governance from a historical-institutional
perspective. In particular, it attempts to explain how the important features of our country’s political structures/institutions, processes, and relationships developed
across time. In the process, the course helps the learners gain a better appreciation of their rights and responsibilities as individuals and as members of the larger
sociopolitical community to strengthen their civic competence.

III. General Objectives (Content Standard)

Familiarize the students with the significant features of Philippine politics and governance through the discussion and analysis of concepts theories and issues that
define and influence political developments in our country.

IV. Course Requirements and Policies:

A. Regular Attendance
The students must avoid cutting classes and they should present in class to avoid failing grades from this subject. It was sated in the "Student Handbook"

V. Grading Components
Grades will be based on the DepEd Order No. 8 s.2015.

Performance Tasks - 50%
Quarterly Assessment - 25%
