sectors
- Project manager of national and international consultancy and development projects with a
special focus on energy efficiency and flexible mechanisms.
- Responsible of management and monitoring and periodic mandatory energy audits for
existing projects, and provided technical assistance to businesses in the implementation of
action plans for energy efficiency. She managed well, development projects using
technologies and efficient processes in different economic sectors. Including residential and
tertiary sectors,
1992- today: Expert on energy efficiency/ Renewable Energy and clean production, carbon
balance (Bilan Carbone ®):
Mrs. AMMAR, Chartered Engineers specialized on Auditor Auditor Leader in Energu
Management Sysyem (ISO 50001) and Carbon Balance ® also assists in the implementation of
action plans.
Having a wide experience in energy diagnostic allows her to optimize and secure the crucial phase of
data collection in order to better supply and use the tool ADEME (Carbon Balance ®)
A Strength is to provide lighting economics and accounting from an analysis of physical flows from
the Carbon Balance ® which allows to implement corrective actions in mastering costs and
identifying potential return on investment.
Tunisian private cement industries are involved in standards and labeling that relate to sustainable
construction. They work in partnership with other players in organization such as WBCSD. She has
to establish the mensuel carbon balance for the SCE with GIEC methodology.
Energy audits for more than 40 companies:
- Energy balances and efficiency analyses of the most significant machines
- Technical and economical evaluation of the energy savings potentials
- Development of an action plan
- Accompaniment and technical assistance
Cogeneration:
Study for five ceramic companies in the field of use cogeneration (12 MW) and textile unit (6,5 MW ):
- Feasibility study
- Engendering study
- Accompaniment
Project ANME/PNUD: Task force Audits in Industrial sector:
As part of the project (Boosting energy efficiency for industrial that they never had an energy audit)),
this mission covers the technical audits conducted in each company. The target was to conduct the
technical audits at 20 installations screened from the industrial sector. And release more than 70 %
potential energy identified.
In this intervention an inspection of power plants and energy sites where done in order to determine
any factors that cause energy losses or inefficiency in energy use. The main component of this
project is to develop an energy management program and also to establish methods for energy
conservation. This mission presents an auditing report, giving a first action plant on energy efficiency,
get à program contract between ANME/Company and assist the company to release this action plan:
Obtains an adequate knowledge of the existing energy consumption profile of the site
Identifies the factors that have an effect on the energy consumption
Identifies and scales the cost-effective energy saving opportunities
evaluating the present energy consumption
identifying of energy saving possibilities
Reporting: Provide a detailed analysis of energy usage, the savings that can be made, and
the cost of achieving those savings.
Project ANME/PNUD: Accompaniment and technical assistance in Industrial sector:
Twenty factories are concerned by the accomplishment of their action plans with financial and
technical accompaniments.
Clean production
Focal point of CPRAC in Tunisia (The Regional Activity Center for Cleaner Production
CP/RAC) in order to develop an international cooperation with Mediterranean countries on
development and innovation in the production sector and civil society, based on more
sustainable consumption and production models. The activity is developed under
the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) for the protectionand development of the
Mediterranean basin.
Clean production in the UNDP program of clean production in Tunisia in collaboration with
Sweden office Sofies for twenty companies in industrial field.

Expert: Environmental impact studies

The principal reference last year is the study for implementing a raw sugar refinery with
capacity of 6000 t/day in Zarzis Free Zone.

She has assumed the important role design and achieves the goal of energy efficiency and
environmental preservation:

The ability to produce high quality refined sugar from the various types with the
qualities of raw sugar available on the world market.

Selection of an established process technology for which technical support, skilled

operators, and process chemicals would be readily available.

A modern process control concept, based on a distributed control system, with few
operators and high labor productivity.

Compliance with environmental requirements, particularly in terms of avoiding

Sugar loss to the harbor through cooling water or condensates

Wastewater treatment comply with discharge standard in the marine environment
