On the occasion of Engineer’s

Christian College of Engineering and
Technology by the department of
Mechanical Engineering under the
tutelage of Dr Jayakumar Jayaraman,
HOD Mechanical Department on
Friday 16th September. The Guest for
this function was Mr. JC Hrishikesh
Prasad, Assistant Manager, working
as Departmental Safety Officer &
Training Engineer in Wire Rod Mill
in Bhilai Steel Plant. He is a
Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
& post graduate in Nano Technology & Environmental Technology . He has delivered a guest
lecture on “Decision Making and Optimizing Goals”. He is also a National Trainer & attends
many world congresses in India & Brazil.

He has discussed his experience in

industry and also has given lecture on skills
development & decision making. As per
him everyone should have particular goal
with respect to his/her interest. He has given
one tricks to the students , so that how they
can achieve their goal .As per the survey he
told in human brain daily 60000 thoughts
comes, out which only 20000 are positive
rest 40000 are negative, then also he could
not achieve even 10 % of that. So one
should first write his interest or goal what
he wants to be on a piece of paper & paste it
to be in front of his/her study table, so that
student can visualize it daily and after it
follow it by doing hard work to achieve it.
He correlates many real examples with the
skills & decision making for a person and focus on 3 things “Decide”, “Wait”& “believe”. He

also suggested students to emphasis on their positive skills whatever the qualities they are having
present it with confidently don’t think for which they don’t have. He has also given example that
only 18-20% people are rich and rest are living nominal life, because that lowest percentage
people knows how to mold every possible opportunities as in favor of them, so he suggest
opportunities come for everyone so always be ready to turn up it. In his conclusion he told one
should be always confident, bold, positive thinker with right attitude.

Dr. Jayakumar Jayaraman felicitated Mr. JC Hrishikesh Prasad in the presence of all
