Ref: 1) MERC order in Case no. 23 of 2017 and miscellaneous application no. 7,8,13 &14 of 2017 in
Case no. 23 of 2017 dated 17tt.January 2018.

Sir,

With reference to the above Subject, and as per MERC dailv order in the above case in which
CommisSion at clause 19 b) & e), ruled that-

" b) Each CPP Generating Unit shall have a separate Special Energy Meter (SEM) as per the
specifications in the Centro! Electricity Authority (CEA) (Installation and Operation of Meters)
Regulations, 2006 as amended from time to time. The monthly reading data at the Generation
Transformer fHV level, outgoing feeder level and that 0/ auxiliary consumption should be submitted ta
the Distribution ticenseels} and to MSLDC in hard and soft versions, Downloading of monthly data of
all these meters shall be jointly undertaken by the Generator and Distribution Ucensee(s), and the
State Transmission Utilil)l (STU) (if relevant). Similarly, the sealing oj the respective meters, their
testing, ere. should also be jointly undertaken by the Generator, Distribution Licensee(s) and the STU (if
relevant), and appropriately certified. The general practice adopted jar any HT consumer monthly
meter reading should befollowed.

c) The 5EM meters should be tested periodically as per the pfescribed testing procedures. H

In this regards you are requested to provide details of Testing &: Sealing of SEM Metel'5 of an
Generation Transformer EHV level, outgoing feeder level and that of auxiliary consumption. at SWPGL
Generators to the concerned Distribution Licensee (rata Power Company ttd.) under intimation to this
office. Also.•these Mete.rs need to be made visible at SlDC for FBSM Settlement.

You will have to undertake all these activities on behalf of STU.
