1. The Copernicus and Ptolemy model are both model of the solar system.

They both
thought the orbits of the planets were circular, but we now know they are elliptical. Both rotate around one
celestial body, both used to try to show what orbits what in the universe, and both assumed the planets orbits
were spherical and epicycles.

2. Hypothesis is an educated guess. It is the foundation of the scientific method. It is a potential answer to your
question based on your observation to the natural world and can be stated whether true or not after analysing
your data. Scientific Theory (theory) consists of one or more hypothesis that have been supported by
repeated testing. A theory is always true and can never be wrong because if it’s wrong the theory is disproven.
Theories can also evolve. The old theory wasn’t wrong , it’s just that new information was discovered.
Scientific laws are short and always true. It is used to described an action under certain circumstances. Laws
are accepted as universal and are the cornerstone of science. They must never be wrong. If a law is false, any
science built on that law is false.

3. Our solar system formed from the disk of gas and dust that surrounded the sun as it condensed from the
interstellar medium which makes it a common process. Most stars formed with disks of gas around them and
the planets should form in such disk.

4. The age of the Solar System is measured by the radioactive decay of certain isotopes in rocks and meteorites.
These isotopes, mostly Potassium and Uranium, were created with the solar system. We can accurately
determine how long it's been since the rest of the solar system were formed by measuring how much has
decayed. Meteorites were used instead since the the oldest rocks on Earth have been destroyed by plate
tectonics. The oldest meteorites found suggest the age of the formation of the solar system and that is 4.568
Billion years.

5. A heavy bombardment happened 4 billion years ago by the steady rain of meteorite in which, craters have
been formed. Because of the bombardment, most of the solid surface in our solar system were scarred by
craters.

6. They know it by doing scientific researches. They think of certain events that happened, and from those
possibilities they make theories.
