My nursing philosophy

The writing about nursing philosophy requires person to understand the meaning of philosophy in

relation to them. Philosophy is an academic discipline that exercises reason and logic in an attempt to un

derstand reality and answer fundamental questions about knowledge, life, morality and human nature ( M

alinowski, A., & Stamler, L.L. (2002). The definition provides the freedom to make use of personal belief

s without necessarily having to accept other person ideals about the matter. Various scholars have been de

bating for many years on whether nursing can be described as an art or science. It is important to note that

to become a successful nurse there is a need for provision of the art of caring with the drive of continual a

pplication of science knowledge throughout a person’s career.

The Person

Nursing as a profession remains solely about people, which means human beings remains the vita

l point in the expression of a personal nursing philosophy as the nursing profession remains person-center

ed. It is evident that care entails the whole client without exception of single health concern that is treated

in seclusion from a person. Nursing remains something I hope to extend further than the hospital with an

effort to enhance my community health and the entire the country. All these information and personal va

lues forms part of my guide as my personal standards in relation to nursing practice.

Administration

The profession is unique and personal and continues to contrast with illness based medical model

s (Malinowski & Stamler, 2002). This is because in most cases holistic perspectives tend to take into cons

ideration all aspects the life of a client. All these helps in facilitation of the best possible quality of life unl

ike care on nursing founded on generalizations. The development of my personal ability to view clients a

s unique and provision of holistic care, whereas being reflexive on this subjective experience has led to

my enhancement of individual understanding of how people fits well into the society.

Nursing

It is evident that every community has discrete features, environments, as well as characteristics,

which influence individual’s health and populace. In the past, nursing entailed treatment of a physical con

cern as a firmly one-to-one connection. The society conceptualization necessarily takes into consideration

the patient internal as well as external environments (Malinowski, & Stamler, 2002). Society comprises o

f environmental forces, which affects an individual external, physical, health experience together with psy

chosocial facets .My conceptions remains in line with those proposed, which takes into consideration both

an individual and community health being linked to their environment. At the same time, my definition s

eems to extend further than static limitation of a sensitive community setting. This is because my practice

has taught that client situations often change because of their social position before, during, and even after

health care system interaction (Malinowski & Stamler, 2002).

Nursing profession

It is evident that the nursing profusion tends to help patients in attaining optimal wellness to cope

with illness as well as disability periods. Professional nurse often makes usage of the nursing process that

forms the basis of nursing practice that necessitates nurses to examine data from various sources. As a nur

se, it remains essential to make use of my nurturing, technical as well as comforting skills to attain optimu

m health. It is also important to make usage of the complex knowledge in decision making to care for my

patients.

Environment

It is evident that the environment often promotes or at times interferes with a person. The environ

ment components remain the physical environment such as water, temperature, as well as air together wit

h the non-physical environment. At the same time, all these involve healthcare, housing, churches, family

parenting, and culture beliefs. Individuals are meant to live in the environment together with physical as

well as non-physical aspects for interaction. The two major components are known to have immense effec

t on a person’s health status as well adaptation to the components.

Health

Health is often experienced to be a connectedness state as well as physical harmony, spiritual,

psychological as social aspects in an individual together with the environment. As a vibrant well being sta

te health has to embrace system equilibrium, the capability to express oneself together with adaptation in

a way that seems productive. All theses aids in resisting stress to meet the needs of a patient, while caring

for them. At the same time, health means pleasant patterning in relation to energy fields to evolve conscio

usness patterns with the continuous process seems to be evolving with time. Each person views health in

a unique way in accordance to individual cultural context.

Education

In most cases,Leninger’s transcultural in relation to the theory has to be taken into consideration t

o enable a nurse to offer proper care to a patient. In relation to Leninger, an individual culture often has a

n impact on an individual existence as well as failure in terms of recognition and appreciation of the emin

ent cultural differences. In most cases all these features tends to undermine the best intentions in the nursi

ng profession.

Research

Nursing actions often concentrates on an individual being taken care of as well as blending of art

together with science in relation to nursing. It is evident that nursing remains a profession, which compris

es of specialized bodies that embraces knowledge as well as skills. This involves caring of patients in sick

nesses and other different practical settings with proper knowledge of performing their tasks well. All thes

e necessitate proper research in the ever-evolving nursing profession to help e perform my responsibilities

well.

Conclusion

The philosophy paper has helped me understand the true meaning of nursing and made me more a

ware of valued principles to assist me in my clinical practice. I have learnt to value holistic nursing by pla

cing value in each patient as a person having varying needs. At the same time, respect for each patient re

mains vital in preserving the dignity of a patient. My objective remains focusing on caring for patient and

ensures the values of the patient are understood and respected. Inter-professional teamwork is a

characteristic I hope to execute in my nursing practice to serve my patients better and efficiently. I wish to

work in a environment that is healthy, which encourages open communication
