Admission Schedule for Candidates who got allotment for M.Sc.
Programme through CCMN 2018 & Documents required for admission
I. The admission for M.Sc. Programme at NIT Calicut will be as per the following schedule

II. Original Documents to be brought by the candidates at the time of admission. The
following documents, in original (English /Hindi Versions only), should be produced at
the time of reporting for admission:

1. Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) generated from CCMN login


2. Aadhaar Card
3. Valid JAM Score (Only Qualified) Card
4. Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC or equivalent Certificate).
5. Mark Sheet of Standard 12th showing the availability of Mathematics subject
6. Mark list of the Qualifying examination and Degree certificate.
7. Candidates who are awaiting results should produce all original mark lists up to and including
pre final semester/year. Such candidates will be considered for provisional admission
provided they will be able to submit the final degree certificate / provisional certificate by
15th September 2018. However, they have to produce Certificate in the format available in
Annexure 6. Format of Certificate (Annexure 6) is available at

8. Conduct/Character certificate from the Head of the Institution/Organization last
attended/working issued within last six months.
9. Community Certificate, in the case of OBC-NCL candidate, from a competent authority (not
below the rank of Tahsildar) indicating the status regarding Creamy Layer. Format of

10. Community Certificate, in the case of SC/ST candidate, from a competent authority (not below
the rank of Tahsildar). Format of Certificate (Annexure 4) is available at

11. Certificate from the Medical Board of Govt. Medical Colleges/Dist. Head Quarters Hospitals, in
the case of Physically Handicapped candidates. Format of Certificate (Annexure 5) is available
at http://www.ccmn.in/doc/Annexure5.pdf
12. Transfer/Leaving/Migration Certificate from the institution last attended.
13. One passport size photograph and one stamp size photograph.
If any of the above certificates is in a language other than English or Hindi, an English
version of that certificate attested by a Gazetted Officer should be produced compulsorily.
Note: One set self-attested copy of the above documents (Sl. No. 2-12, whichever is
applicable) is also to be submitted at the time of admission.

Candidates are advised to keep sufficient number of attested copies of mark lists and other
certificates for their future use, if any, since all the original certificates submitted to NIT Calicut at
the time of admission will be retained in the Institute till the admission process over.

Before you start filling-in your personal details in the above link, keep a softcopy of your recent

III. Balance Institute Fee to be paid at the time of admission


At the time of admission, the candidate needs to pay the following balance amount with regard
to the category of the candidate and the round in which allotment is accepted:

Payment has to be made through State Bank Collect (online) using Net Banking / Credit
Card/ SBI Challan (by cash) after reporting at Bhaskara Hall, NIT Calicut.

IV. Hostel Accommodation


After the admission procedures at Bhaskara Hall, the student can proceed to the Hostel Office
for hostel accommodation. You need to pay Hostel fees of Rs. 15,000/- in the form of Demand
Draft (DD). The DD for hostel fee should be drawn in favour of: “The Chief Warden, NITC
Hostels” payable at State Bank of India, NIT Calicut Branch (Code No. 2207).

V. Other Information
Location of the Institute
National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is located in a campus near Chathamangalam, about 22 km
North East of Calicut City in Kerala State. The Campus extends for a length of about 1.5 km along the
Kunnamangalam – Mukkam Road and covers an area of approximately 120 hectares in a picturesque
landscape at the foothills of the Western Ghats. The Institute is connected with Calicut City by Private buses
starting from Corporation Bus Station, Palayam (near Calicut Railway Station) and KSRTC buses starting
from KSRTC Bus Stand. The nearest airport is at Karipur near Calicut, which is 35 km from the Institute.
General Information
ATM facility is available in the campus from State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank.
Date of Orientation Programme : 1st August 2018, 09.00 am.
Date of commencement of Classes : 2nd August 2018, 08.00 am.
Withdrawal of candidature after taking admission in NIT Calicut is as per the existing rules of the Institute.
