WOP No. 000 GREEN TERRAMESH WALL SYSTEM KP 188.

1.0 Objective

The purpose of this method of statement is to define the procedures to ensure that the
proposed Green Terramesh Wall with Berm and Toe drain at KP 188.7 workmanship to be
used at the site are complying with the condition / requirements as stipulated in the
specifications.

2.0 Scope
 Install one section of Green Terramesh Wall at approximately 45m length at KP
188.7.
 Install Berm and Toe drain along Terramesh Wall at KP 188.7
 Compact soil using roller with 90% MDD or other suitable material and 95% MDD
for Sand material.

3.0 Manpower and Machinery


A) Site Engineer

C) Skill worker( Bar Bender, Welder and Carpenter

E) Excavator
F) Hand Compactor

4.0 Preparation work

4.1 Setting out

Prior to any commencement of any physical works, a professional land surveyor shall be
appointed to carry out demarcation works and establish bench marks on site. Upon obtaining
all the necessary survey data, a joint survey to check existing ground levels shall be carried
out with the consulting engineers.

4.2 Crusher run

4.21 Provide crusher run to engineers specifications along base of Terramesh wall with
aggregates between 5mm to 50mm.

4.3 Berm Drain and Toe drain

4.31 Provide 50mm lean concrete Grade 10/20 at 1:1.5 & 1:1 slope for Berm drain and 1:1
slope for Toe drain.

4.32 Provide 75mm Ø UPVC weephole at 1.5m c/c spacing along Toe drain.

5.0 Work Methodology


5.1 Green Terramesh
5.11 Lay a single unit of geotextile(please state) and lay two triangular brackets
beneath the geotextile.
5.12 Place the triangular brackets in accordance to the required slope angle.
5.13 Lace the connection between adjacent unit with linear lining using single loop
technique.
5.14 Backfill first filling with vegetative soil fill in accordance to reinforcement
spacing as per figure shown below.

5.15 Backfill and compact first layer to height of 450mm once for first structural
fill as per figure shown below.

5.16 Repeat with second filling of vegetative soil fill and and compact second layer
if depth greater than 450mm.
5.17 Fold the lid of the geotextile(please state) with lacing between adjacent unit by
mechanical rings with the edges fasten with pickets.
5.18 Lace bottom and above unit with linear lacing by single-double loop
technique.
5.19 Hydroseed using mixture of seeds and fertiliser and if needed, insert shrub
cuttings.

5.2 Berm Drain

5.21 Apply mould oil to the prepared formwork and erect the formwork.
5.22 Lay one layer of BRC A8 in accordance to Berm drain shape.
5.23 Cast in-situ 100mm thick concrete as per engineer specifications
5.24 Depth of Berm drain must be 300mm and width at 700mm.

5.3 Toe Drain

5.31 Apply mould oil to the prepared formwork and erect the formwork.
5.32 Lay one layer of BRC A8 in accordance to Toe drain shape.
5.33 Cast in-situ 100mm thick concrete as per engineer specifications
5.34 Depth of Toe drain must be 500mm and width at 1300mm.

6.0 Safety Requirements


The project management shall ensure that no accident and irregularities at site during
working hours at all times. All work activities must follow safety procedure. Personal
protective equipment must always be used in all areas of works depends on types of
activities. Proper signage, safety barricades and likes must be present at any time of the
day to provide early warnings.
