WRITING
"Going to" is used to talk about plans for the future or to talk about intentions. For example: I am going to visit
that museum. / I'm going to visit that museum. I'm going to make pasta for dinner. / He's going to make pasta for
dinner. Negations are formed with "not going to + infinitive". For example: I am NOT going to visit that museum.
/ I'm not going to visit that museum. He is NOT going to make pasta for dinner. / He is not going to make pasta
for dinner. "Will" is used to talk about spontaneous decisions, conditional, and forecasts (things that may or may
not happen). For example: If i go to the supermarket, i will buy some bread. / If I go to the supermarket, I'll buy
some bread. (A THE BEST I go to the supermarket) The phone's ringing I'll get it! / The phone rings. I'm going
to take it! (I had not planned to take it, I decide NOW) Who do you think will win the match? / Who do you think
will win the match? Negations are formed with "will not". For example: If it rains, I will not go out. / If it rains, I will
not leave.
