SO WHAT?

“So” As an adverb
When “So” is used as an adverb it is followed by an adjective or another adverb.
Example: She is so intelligent and beautiful!

“So” + Aux Verb + Subject


This structure is used for short answers.
Susan travelled to Europe. So did her father.

“So” as conjuction.
As a conjunction, so is used to connect two clauses. Note that “so” introduces the result; as, since and because
introduce the clause. Clauses introduced by “so” cannot come at the beginning of a sentence. As-, since- and
because-clauses can begin a sentence.
